Dear Dean of TedTalk
about unconditional self-regard,
As you clearly know from experience,
overcoming disabling
disempowering changes
isn't so much about
stopping the habit
of comparing oneself with others
Yet has everything to do
with not contrasting oneself
prejudicially
against Privileged Others.
Here’s to Dean, who works out and eats greens
and still fits into all his old jeans!
Though he’s over the hill,

Amazing that at the center of our Milky Way
There is so much outside of usual gravity
Space-time, if a fabric, has massive debris
One of these swallows all light, passers by!
Seeing his rival celebrity on the screen,
He is with envy green;
By him thought a fortunate being,
Of all nominees their Faculty’s Dean;
Only thirty years ago did his mother him wean.
A reason to be starving and be forever lean;
For facial expression keep wearing “The Mean”
No occasional reliefs to feign:
Jealousy should forever reign!

There once was a pig named Delicious
She hated washing the stupid dishes
She ranted and raved
Her bro thought her depraved
So he threw her into a pond with the fishes
Delicious was a pig with a temper quite mean
She got out and ranted at her brother big Dean
He was scared to his bones
Ran off with Miss Jones
An old lady whose teeth had turned ugly green
Dean was roaringly cute with curly turquoise hair
A skater in pink roller skates, with a superior air
He was born in Savanna in a tiny little zoo
But he had been touring since he was two
People went crazy when he got into town
The zoo had a circus, with a tent big and brown.
They made a parade starring their featured act, Dean
He was the cutest giraffe most had ever seen
I was never much for country music
but admit ....I liked his style
Each morning I remember him
though he's been gone a while
As I gather round for breakfast
I feel so blessed to say
Jimmy Dean will live forever
in our homes from day to day
So tell your kids about his life
Let them know his part
Jimmy isn't just a sausage
but a memory of the heart

What on earth made the teen
