My Name
My name is doubt,
I dwell with fear,
I frighten people,
from year to year.

My name is faith,
I dwell with cheer,
I cast out doubt,
I deaden fear.

Footsteps In the Hall
After midnight
the pendulum stalls
Chimes to deaden
as darkness calls
A clanking chain
the haunt begins
Till daylight threatens
—the shadows dim

Coarse and contrived
Sterilized pride
Deaden

Absent and aloof
Formalized spoof

Surly and wry
Hostilities nigh
Redden

Distrust and dissent
Predestined event

Obtain When You Refrain
Obtain When You Refrain

A much better appearance will obtain,
Saying things full of nonsense refrain;
Your noise deaden,
And peace heading,
Or do need Novocain to deaden the pain.

Sweetness
How do I rid you
oh sweet pain,
this longing confusion,
of soulful tears.

Guarded by pins and needles of a tortured heart
Your words touched me like that of symphonies played long ago.
Bringing life into this once deaden soul....

Ramble
Life is Simple,
People are tough,
Loving is foolish,
Kids run amuck,
The genre is broken,
The generation grows,
People are cruel,
Even the nice ones growl,
Forever in heart,
Is five minutes in mind,
To know ahead,
Could raise the deaden signs....

Hatred Stare
(30/06/2011)

In the middle of the night
When owls sing their best mourning song
I’m awakened in fright
I can see my ravage, lurking all night long
I’m only awakened in another nightmare
So I close my eyes in bare
Deep inside, my heart is scared
Which one is more deaden?
My scary nightmare
Or your empty and full of hatred stare?...

Faraway from my motherland
Blend with the alien bands
I feel sad and lonely
My native language flees

In different horizon I stay
The sorrow stings nights and days
With dull and deaden sense
My homesick is immense

In a strange space I stay
Think to the birth-land faraway
The sweet voice of my mother
Echoes in my heart over and over...

My Pencil Point
My pencil point was out of joint
And didn’t feel like writing
Although the page was clean and fresh
With lines that looked inviting.

Its sullen mood had me imbued
With thoughts I tried to deaden,
For many wouldn’t place their trust
In one so plainly leaden.

Yet oftentimes we conjure rhymes
Quite quickly and with pleasure.
Perhaps the credit should be shared
By us in equal measure....

Rainbows are smiles when the rain tumbles down
My heart is showering as all my sorrows do drown
Every dew drop glistening, delivered from heaven.
Rainbows are smiles when clouds are deaden

When nature shines, our goodness grows
Trusting in the soil to nurture us so
With a sky filled with colors that make us glow
Rainbows are the goodness that makes love flow

Dying Love
Here I lie
Left here to die
By those considered allies
So today is the day love dies
Harden the heart
Deaden the soul
Let your heart grow cold
But wait my advice should not be heeded
For I am not what you needed
Don't be like me
Be wise and see
That the love in your heart is what makes you good
Don't put on the darkness' hood
For the day love dies
Is the day the soul dies
And i don't want that for you my dear child...

Fear’s the ultimate sly weapon
No one need fear nuclear bombs:
They explode dead

Through Fear alone we praise Heaven
Fear makes us dread what future becomes:
Let Fear drop dead

Fear’s the lethal tool mind-twisters use
Their source of Fear kept well hidden:
Fearful exposure

We fear Fear to avoid abuse
Of the Self within us deaden:
I me fear sure

Tongue lashings are bitter
  they hurt and injure
Gnawing at both the heart
  of victim and abuser
With each hostile strike
  both hearts bruise and deaden
Hostility a most deadly poison
  injected as cheeks redden

No word of a lie striking a chord
You live by the sword you die by the sword

Chocolate coloured and glistening,
Large eyes in a larger head,
Skin stretched tight,
So young
Looking so old.
Flies dancing and settling.
No light in the gaze.

As the camera draws back,
A distended belly comes into shot
Above spindly legs
Against a blue sky
Drenched in sunshine.

We pull back and scrape our plates
Into the garbage.
We deaden our pain
With reality shows
And other trivial pursuits.

Our minds burn,
The wounds remain.
Our analgesics
Are all in vain....
