Delta Daze Zom Bee

The Zombies of COVID-19
Are screaming they want a vaccine
Now is too late
To change your fate
But stick around for Halloween!

100 Daze

The media made quite a fuss
To show a minus as a plus
But Biden made clear
Our problems this year
All boil down to us against us!
Form: Limerick

B Daze

Bidets may have a waterspout
So girls can wash the babies out
But water spray
Creates horseplay
If something's fishy, it's not trout!
Form: Limerick

Holy Daze

Many people believe in a god
That common sense reveals as a fraud
An Heavenly Father
Knows kin are a bother
But needs no mortal to wield the rod!
Form: Limerick

Memorial Daze

Those who fought for us,never thought to ignore us....

We weren't ignored, for it's the blood that was poured

With the intent not to bend but restore us.

            ‘pon mine lips
                warmth
            past mine lips
                   life

          mother’s breast
              mine force

Columbus Daze

landing on a land
that wasn't the one
someone else had
found years before

but all the same

naming it and it's
people what they
were supposed
to have been

The days speed by
   In a daze
The nights crawl along
   In a haze

The rest of the world plays
   You're a bit crazed
Life swiftly passes you by
   You're amazed

When I recalled my college days
spent mainly in a drunken haze

      Invariably I’d wonder why
job posts read ~ ‘Degree required’

Mathematics is sure not my forte
Nor are chemistry or physics ok
I'd really like to roam free
    To study astronomy
So I can 'star' in 'An Evening Soiree'

Fog Night Daze

SHALL we meet for
dinner then after -
ward, meet within a
clean slaughter
house up behind
the reservoir
and spread the
long grass & do
it as dogs?

We suffer that lyrical curse,
The scribbling of unrefined verse.
'Tis Duggan's "Doggerelitis";
And teachers ironically fight us,
Like being beat up by your nurse.

Premium Member Trump's First Fifty Daze

Trump is maintaining a frenetic pace
leaving the world in a daze

     I don’t agree with everything he’s done
but I fully support the need to do it

Calendar Daze

I dyed my hair green for one special day
and got some crazy looks - but what the hey,
so while I gave a toast
the others got to roast...
St. Patrick's Day is in March and not May!

Daze Go Bye

Lately you've gone soft
You've gotten lazy

Used to to be the things you did
At least would faze me

Now it all rolls off my back
Fade to black

New scene
Same theme

You amaze me
Form:

Daze

sunlit tendrils simper
through knot twisted tree fingertips
ember ambers of umber

a missed mist of glitter glistened gossamer
rises like a sheered chiffon smoke
and dawns voice is spoke

School Daze

I miss you with the intensity of a hundred burning suns but I will not speak a word because I do not see angst in your eyes when you glance my way nor can I taste your sadness in the air when we pointedly do not talk.

Totally Amaze and Daze

Totally Amaze and Daze

There are things about Trump that totally amaze;
Do end up leaving us in a drastic daze;
Heard all around;
No thankful sound;
He loves hearing from people all of their praise.

Burning Daze

im sittin by the fire now
looking at it blazing
and in my life i wonder how
to keep it burning, dazing
perhaps it takes much more then heat
and fuel to take it higher
as not to witness my defeat
god, please be my supplier

The rain starts at night
  makes it cozy for sleeping
Continues through daybreak
  awakens in me the sinking

realization that as far as
sunshine, blue skies, flowers and all
I’ll get to see them in June ~
May’s naught but a shower stall
