A Garden Haunting
There is a rose out in my garden
that only blooms at night.
It's beauty is of the angels but
with no wings of flight.
It's scent is so haunting as down the
garden path it leads me dauntingly.
A story I know it wants to tell, for
it trembles each time I reach for it's
petals, in hopes to release it from it's
capturing spell.
A single tear I drop upon it's bloom
to erase away it's soulful gloom and
I visit it each and every night, in hopes
