There was once a fella named cutthroat
Who played seven card stud in raincoat
          It was his lucky charm
           Smelt like ox on a farm
Banning such clothes, unanimous vote

Wrapped Around His Finger

opens his mouth, crimson tongue of seduction,
velvet blanket, petals by, as I delve,
a plunderer of pleasure, my lips, a ship of delight,
charting the uncharted waters of his terrain.

guess you could say we're having a real 'cutthroat' relationship - I'm making the final edit....with a scalpel.

Our sex is a train wreck,
our sex explodes;
Our sex is nothing,
and everything at once;

Our sex is intoxicating,
our sex is menacing;
Our sex is a conversation
of two broken languages;

Our sex is so cutthroat,
our sex is salvation;
our sex is too many safe words
spoken before a single easy kiss.

Pretty Talker

Political sally renders her vote
As a mass of lobbyists pass a note
3x 3x 3x she says "nah"
But there in over there heads!
So doeth i say!

Again the vote x3
Upon the mass and it seems cutthroat.
Do you believe me when i say
They are bullshitters all the way!
Trump,clinton,all the like.
Make way for the next dummy with a tax hike!

Trapt

I am stained from the things I've done,
I try to hide from them,
But they chase and I cannot outrun,
Slowly pulling me to requiem.

Depression has sung eternally,
The hate hangs in the notes,
Driving me to insanity,
The pain is so cutthroat.

Falling through the darkness,
The despair pulls me down with its weight,
It eats at me and leaves me lifeless,
But the pain slowly abates.

I am afraid to feel,
Anything thats real.

Until Then

An orison to hope
Shattered into smithereens
Its keened tongues and teeth gnash and lament
A despairful cry of a cutthroat womb.

Cacophonies cry out
Cellos and violins bow, inexorable and unforgiving
Until then, of their finale the southern bells will ring;
A testimony that God has returned.

Savior of humanity,
Entwine us with arms that bleed
For those arms' warmth and nurture
Extricates us from a demise with a lamenting dissonance.

         Football’s not a game, it’s a weekend war
    Baseball’s a battle a day, myriad games played

         Business is cutthroat competition
    ‘Dog-eat-dog’ ~ every man for himself

          Hollywood and hospitals: grapevines
     like lightning, with stab-in the backers

     Computer systems assaulted by malware and hackers

          No easy answers to a world at war
          No one questioning what life is for

Spend a bit extra
receive a little more
In life’s cutthroat sale
and thrifty superstores

No free dinners
It’s all in your head
For each slice gained
the rest gets no bread

Gives back a cent
keeping all the rest
Huge ponzi schemes
pay crumbs as interest

Always leave tips
they go a long way
Bosses can pay less
and make tons of hay

Mark these words
or use a highlighter
By omitting fullstops
save ink for the writer
