Premium Member Night Time's Starlight Moon

night time’s starlight moon
curdles the whey of longing
clouds mask heart’s desire
trembling arms reach out to you
train whistles haunt the captives

My Wife Howls Bad News

my wife howls bad news
the sauce curdles in the pan
                                               a cat has nine lives
Form: Haiku

Meat

Waiting, waiting, waiting
Cold feet
CUT
bleeding
Red blood seep
Curdles in heat
Strung out
I long
the sun, the sun
Calming
To warm my anaphylactic tongue

Premium Member This Curse Deibide Baise Fri Toin

Blood curdles
the entire room just startles;
Floating a banshee howls loud
proud;

Dire message
of an impending passage;
Not a thing could make this curse
worse.

Collage - 3

ephemeral fog
night as cold as witches' breath
lone crow squawks goodnight
(settles on tree branch)

a candle flickers
starlight glows behind thin clouds
city goes to sleep
(earth curdles in mist)

sky sullen and gray
salt tears my crystallized thoughts
bird pecks at my pain
(rain pellets my dreams)
Form: Haiku

Premium Member Anything But Spring

Anything but spring
I've no time for frivolity
and the increase in daylength
constricts my nocturnal emissions.
The snow is almost gone,
white replaced by mud,
and the red bird's cheery call
curdles the cream
in my morning coffee.
Yet as catkins emerge
from budding willows
and the wind softens
inevitably
comes the time
to break from hibernation.

Eden

The rolling sky self-reflecting as it froths above God
Whispering lacey silhouettes as it curdles in my mouth
The baptismal rain sanctifies itself endlessly

My imperial Eden and unannounced abomination
Severe with conviction; let my body weather here as marble death
My deepest river, you swarm my blood as butterflies clotting me with unashamed resolution

I remain as ever, unchanging.

In The Silence

In your silence I see colours,
speech crumbling like flaking paint, dried; truth dripping from lips, black spittle on a brush.
In the silence I inhale the scent of a feeling,
what you think of me curdles from willows to weeds; from ivy once intoxicated to rotten root.
In this silence I taste our time together,
a history in meat chopped / diced, fried in oil burning; our future an incomplete recipe, lost.

Autumn Day On the Lumpkin Country Farm

Frothy exhaust curdles the Lumpkin
pumpkin
Hard Cider breath exudes from
every male bumpkin
Screamin kids Crab apples into
melted taffy dunkin
Uncle Leroy's flabby ass into
shredded bale sunken
Aunt Polly on the sagging porch
swing drunken
Cousin Marie on sawdust kitchen
floor corn husks shuckin
Baby Liza in corn pone crib goat's
milk from RC botttle suckin
One-eyed Grandpa Moses up at
Bear Cove spelunkin

Our Friend the Acid Tripper

In fluent argot like a profound inchoate
Chthonic patronizing blood paroxysmally folds in curdles
You illuminate none but yourself with a pleasant scapegrace idiocy
Dishevelled and voluble in dark ages of medieval filth

Legerdemain to my vituperate wills and wanders
Anything in purge of the death of proclivity, namely yours
Crepuscular black skies, fugacious and oneiric...you dissolve them

Caviler
Caviler
Caviler
Abate your breaths

A Slap Or a Tickle

They are what they learn,
and they've learned so much
from their pastors and teachers
when mom wasn't there,
and dad was out misbehaving.
And some are loved part time,
by aunts and uncles distant and suspect,
from the back of a hand
to the stroke of a cheek,
confusion curdles self-respect.
They are what they're used to,
it stems from regard or neglect.

Time Please

Shipwrecks crowd the pub taproom
a hot breath of defeat curdles the air.

There's a coal fire;
there are black tables, small and round
just enough for two pint glasses.

One cloth cap asks another:
"What you sinking?"
He means 'drinking'.

Both old men
keep their eyes anchored
to drool-stained beer mats.
Gimpy table legs
limp aside as if kicked.

Empty glasses
drip a jaded wisdom,
each foam-licked drop
falling back
into incomprehension.

Premium Member Galactic By the Gallon

Galactic cowboys mount mysterious steeds and chase spacey cows at unfathomable speeds! Lactating in circles they moo as they spray an interstellar round-up, a real milky way. It sparkles and glimmers, that distant lactation as it drenches the galaxy and all of creation. At heaven we marvel, in some ungodly hour, at distant milk curdles, already gone sour.

Halogen hesitant glide incubates baskers
Hush worship horizontal, roasting rascals
Trust flail arms gleeful face of jack in box
Toast salt pepper toes opposed to office socks

Lopsided sway scintillates sea rolls repeat
Lumen seduce dons haughty top-hat heat
Haven from seasons, sunbathed succumb
Hourglass conserve curdles cold’s equilibrium
