Never Again
I now know where I have never ever truly belonged.
Refusing excuses or reminders from others anymore.
Never again will I believe their own critiques or lies.

Premium Member normally but not this time
normally I think tattoos look strange on women’s bodies
this time the tattooing looks like henna, delicate and pretty
I have no critiques, am rather in awe this time actually...

Poor Winner
Your visceral comments are taking on a new pitch.
Do you have some weird little glitch?
Why a you hitting me with a switch?
Your critiques don’t help to enrich.
Quit being such a troll.
Negativity takes its toll...

Comments Verses Views
Very rarely,
Do I comment on poems I read.
Even ones I like.
So many perspectives,
Opinions and beliefs.
To harsh are my critiques
Even to my own.
There is still so much
I haven't learned
That I don't feel I'm qualified....

The Road To Your House
Traced backwards through dreams gone—
Saw a cobblestone path creasing palm of land
Slowly, images ripened beneath memory’s dawn
Faded, pattering feet stroking stone into sand.

A Woman
(a limerick)
By Franklin Price

A woman I know from Vermont
Would Facebook grammatically haunt
Her critiques quite verbose
Errors smelled with her nose
Tell me I'm wrong she would gleefully taunt

(I know verbose and nose don't rhyme – you'll just have to live with it)...

Be Nice Don’t be nasty, don’t be mean. Don’t use words, that are obscene. Don’t be obscure, please be concise. Don’t use words, that are not nice. Don’t stroke egos, like a phallus. Don’t use words, filled with malice. Don’t hurt feelings, when you write. Critiques are for helping, so keep it tight. By Josehf Lloyd Murchison

Miracle Moments and Readers
I
Some writers are blessed readers
The only way I know, although
They may comment occasionally
Their words go deeper, with wider flow
Unleashing moments when we commune
We use different words with the same spirit-tune

II
I will err, not honor, if I raise some apart
YOU are too many to mention, may miracles
Greater than moments attend your living art
As I thank you from a poet's spiritual heart...

Premium Member Three Jeans' Sizes
My jeans are all stacked in three groups
From slim to the wide hoola-hoops
     While diets are tedium
     I’m back to a medium
My fasting would shock our brave troops

With nineteen pounds lost in three weeks
I smile when I see smaller cheeks
     I credit V-8 juice
     For making my jeans loose
My butt receives better critiques

Wishing For Perfection
When I woke up I didn't expect to see
My face is changed, this isn't really me
I felt all around my nose and my cheeks
Everything was perfect, no more critiques
Then a smile grew on my face
Which lead to the surprising outcome of disgrace
All of my once-perfect teeth had somehow disappeared
And now I have everything to fear
Wishing for perfection is going to have consequence
Now, looking at my smile, there is the evidence....

Critiques
When offering advice, it’s best,
So you won’t be forsaken,
To ponder just exactly how
Your guidance might be taken.

For uninvited judgment,
Even said with good intent,
Might be something the recipient
Could very well resent.

Critiques, although constructive,
Often stick in someone’s craw;
Not everyone appreciates
The spotlight on a flaw.

So I’d tread very lightly,
My objections kept inside,
‘Cause a wound to someone’s ego
Might be all that I’d provide....

Winter Poems I
Tonight
the street is full of poems
hanging, shimmering
frozen petals in the air

He who dares to pick one
makes no imprint in the holy snow.

-NOTICE-

I would love it if Soupers could give me some critical feedback. I don't even mind very very strong critiques as long as they're constructive. I'm always encouraged by all the positive comments you all give me, but I think it's time to upgrade my writing skills. ;) So come on and take my poem to pieces, people! :D...
