C is for Crabs in the ocean
R is for Radiant under water
A is for Amazing creatures
B is for Beautiful just the way you are
If you want to pursue it,
don't do it like a crab might do it
when he walks or works or plays,
always doing it sideways.
The little crab broke his claw
That he used as a paw
It's now long gone
Eaten just like a bone
By a fish that they call slaw
We built castles made of sand.
I was too young to understand.
My heart, now feels the painful stab -
the awful truth: I am a crab.
hermit's shell
feeling way too tight of fit
had to go
off it slipped
as naked crab stole a conch
clad in nacre pearl
Butter melting atop flames
Ready for dunking
Sweet meat from grilled king crab legs
Open the spiked case
Remove flavor bombs
Of sweetness
My!
crickle crackle stamp stamp stamp
tiny corpulent marchers track up the sand
crickle crackle wow wow wow
I stand back, watching them come
pincher alert
Blue blood horseshoe crab
A million crabs milked
each year for humankind
to detect vaccine contamination.
blue, ghastly, gruesome, repugnant!
A Shadorma
Kicking up
sun baked sands on beach
sand crab snaps
naked toe
permanent tattoo buried
a toenail sculpture.
I was only eight
when I caught the calico box crab freight.
Just a small-town crab-boy in tattered britches,
I found my way to fame and riches,
loaded in a crate.
I heard the calico box crab theme
as I nestled warmly by a trout-filled stream.
I saw the hare and tortoise dance,
and wondered if it was romance,
or just an addled dream.

A'ama is a
tasty Hawaiian crab meat,
ate fresh or when fried,
whole shell also, with sense-like
chameleon camouflage.

The Angry Chef
A seafood chef near the golden gate
Is constantly mean and irate
Punching the trout
Kicking carp all about
Blaming fish for their sorry fate
I love the ocean.
I sleep in wet sand.
My biggest fear is
a child's little hand.
You guessed my secret.
Don't ever blab.
Yours, sincerely,
A Friendly Sand Crab.
Listen to poem:
A delicacy
of nutritional value
and most palatable, yet,
the bluish crab of
struck yellow, a nebula
of stars, holds value, than taste.

It runs gracefully across the sand
Feet leaving prints as it passes
Gracefully moves its own way
Delicacy for some
It’s now on the run
Dashing for hole
Peppered spice
It’s hot
Crabs!
pincer-like movement
mollusc shell host shifts crab wise ~
life clings to low tide

Beware the crabs, going across the street
have to get to the ocean
to lay their precious eggs.

Got this idea from watching "Maximum Exposure."
Shadows on the sand; little crabs following mama.
Shadows follow everyone but, crabs can burrow to hide; I can’t.
It’s ok, my shadow is friendly with me but, crabs don’t know that.
Building castles on a sandy beach
I left to gather up more sand
But, in one castle, a shock
Ran through my wind-blown locks
Castle, occupied
Sand crab resides
Pinched finger
Band-aid
Time.
Malabari Crab
Bet not one of you have ever tasted
This Indian dish not so easily bested
Blue crabs luxurious in hot savoury sauce
Fresh spices n curry leaves a tour de force
The superb Malabari Crab
Go on surprise me somebody!!
Form:
We found the calico box crab man
with leathery skin and a deep, dark tan.
He gave us soup that was filled with nails,
squirrel bones and catfish entrails.
As he told his tale and we heard him speak,
the sky would cry, and the ceiling, leak.
my boss is such a crab!
We all giggled at the bar
Truly, he is grouchy and mean
His directives sound like tar
We are laughing our petootsies off
one of the workers falls off her stool
She has no idea about accountant work
She works in a lovely grade school

Sullivano asked the roasted crab
Have you come from biology lab?
And If you do
Put on your shoe
Go to the sea you need a rehab
