Water Coursing To the Sea

Bubbling, bouncing, coursing
Singing, shouting, playing
Honoring, joyful, joyful
Joyful, fun, fun, fun
Joy, Joy, Joy, Black gunk funk

He Saw Her

He saw her through the glass
Fast running rivulets coursing
Between her heaving breasts
His heart
Began to pound
She was beautiful
Utterly gorgeous

Pagan Devotional For Mealtimes

Dear Lord and Lady:
I thank Thee for the gifts of life;
I thank Thee for the gifts of death.
May I be ever mindful
Of the souls who share
My coursing blood, my freshening breath.

Sijo About Yoga

Bend…curl…stretch and Breathe in the prana; salute the sun. Warrior one…warrior two…into downward facing dog; hold…breathe. Oxygen coursing throughout each blood vessel…invigorating!

Humiliated

his pained smile belies

          rivulets of quiet rage...

                    coursing through his veins

'coming About'

Roaming the prairies and fields
of confusion
Coursing the oceans and lakes
of delusion
Resetting my compass by the
northernmost star
Journeying inward
—where near meets the far

Melancholy

Melancholy should belittle gloomed sentiment coursing amongst my veins
Depression’s spontaneity constricts thy soul
Wearily fighting encroaching tears
Lend me a hand, heart, or prayer
(It’s not an easy road America)

Relationships

Harbouring
relationships
upon the ocean
floor.

Beneath the frothing,
rolling waves
that pound my broken
core.

Polluted waters
sifting pain,
tear the hulls
apart.

Coursing wildly
through my veins,
leaves just a broken
heart.

Red Reign

Red Reign
Red is alive,
Saturating and bursting.
Zoetic with passion and pain.
Rich with fruit forbidden,
Coursing bright and crimson. Filling velvety petals of flesh
Loving and dying
at the mercy,
Of the many shades
  red

Living Within Me

the constant feeling
of never being good enough
weighs down on my shoulders
and weaves itself in and out of my hair
seeping into my pores and slowly but
surely coursing through my veins.
i've accepted the fact that i'll always feel this way

Ordinary Eternal Machinery

Out of the cold of depression;
Into the spring of hope.
Coursing by way of incession,
Slowly learning to cope.

No longer I wait for tomorrow;
Screaming and pleading a truce.
Gone are the valleys of sorrow,
In the mountains I refound my youth.

Diametric

In the tidy confines
of a cluttered mind
rests the timid notion
that lines taunt human

flaws foreign to the
forces nature conjures
in graceful arcs and
orbits, waves of ripe

marrow rippling with
stippled energies
ever-coursing from
all bounding cells.

Sky Divine Red

Sky divine red,
And desires; streams of sinful bliss.
Coursing, and appearing upon a saddened face.
Saddened like the stars that forever approaches,
Hades abode.
The sky is a divine red, he dares utter once more,
And his winter soul spews from his dusk tears.

Mamba

She will slither into your life
But beware
Her venom is sweet
It will feel euphoric coursing through your veins
You will be completely dead by the time it reaches your feet
Then the pain begins
Searing heat
She is faithful and honest
An incredible lying cheat

Second Booster

I had my second booster shot
And energetic, I am not.
I’ve gotten past the needle’s ouch
But can’t get off my cozy couch.

With no set plans, I am content
To hang around, the hours spent
With rest and music that sustains,
The vaccine coursing through my veins.

Hidden

Deep within my tissue hidden from the eye
there is a secret I don't want you to know
The unknown comes at the wrong time
Depriving life's joy and comforts
The secret is always present coursing through
my veins. Promised to reveal itself at a most inopportune time.

First Runner-Up

First runner-up;

is missing the mark
disappointment
a block of ice
lodged in your chest,

is not winning
the award
pain
pressed and growing,

is stand naked
in sequined gown
teardrops, silent
coursing in your veins.

Only a sap
swallows
second place.

Reading In Bed

Languid and luscious wet
like watercolors I lay near
pillows seeking words
in a writer’s space riding
the story coursing
with compassion freely I drop
the book crested crimson
melts into hot rose petals soft
and succulent rising
into you falling into you

Bleeding On Paper

If I bleed on paper,
is it really blood
or is it just words,
droplets of phrases,
splattered feelings
of this love coursing
through my veins for her,
coagulating into meanings
on pale parchment skin
leaving behind
heart shaped scars
that no one
will ever see?

The Poets Refraction of Headline News

The bending light from the headline
News
As it enters my optic
Nerve
Resonates from eager
Fingertips
Coursing to my
Cortex
As the crisp crunch of
Paper
Crackles in self
Satisfaction
The pungent wisp of fresh
Paper
And strong
Ink
Refract
A
Poem

...I can touch

Love's Timeless Journey

Love is like water, soft and yielding
If you attempt to grasp it, you lose it
But if you hold it gently, you have it
Love is gently persistent like water's soft flow
It cannot be harmed or destroyed
For it simply returns to Source
Coursing on the breath of spirit...

Excitement

Oh the fizz
That's the bizz

Feelings high
My oh my

Adrenaline pumping
Heart thumping

Blood coursing through veins
Ready for games

Pupils dilated
Feeling elated

Excitement is contagious
Isn't that outrageous

Are you experiencing it now
That wonderful pow

Hour

Curious hour, why are you holding me to such ghastly thoughts?
Why must I be the subject of all your stinging seconds?
I have done no wrong today; I am blameless
And yet I am left here, consumed with your greedy hands
Tracing them along my chest, eyes steadfast as coursing ships

January My Dearest

Just thinking of you here tonight from afar
As every time were apart I realize
Never will I be without you my sweet
Ultimately you're coursing through my mind
Always in my heart, with each beat
Rarely out of reach, or view of your eyes
You'll always be with me no matter where we are

Broken

feel as though im morphing
evil i can feel is coursing
through my veins i feel the pain
i know i sound so insane
but i ain't got no pretty little dane
to help keep me restrained
now im forced in this corner
backed up in this corner
with no corner to turn
like a spooked horse
i morph
