Till Reason Intervened
I had nearly touched the spire
Wherein reason intervened--
And labeled hope a liar,
So the council then convened.

But the quorum in its meeting
Felt discourse a useless thing,
For hope is always fleeting...
Even with the slightest wing.

Convened Truth.
Concepts and visions cresting
Adrift upon the wind of mind
In the recesses we fear of to speak
Within there the storms fury rises
Blasting away the starkness of thought
   Released this unhindered internal mêlée
Then…residing in a calming respite
    It sits alone ignored
An ideological dogma...

In the memory of my imagination
I recall the love of happiness.
Congruously convened in small cracks,
Between doubt and ecstasy.

Surfing through ever-similar variances,
Effused with vague purpose and undefined vigor,
I groove with the best.
And yeast with the least.

Let's take the adventure.
With endless overture.

I'll wrap you in my loving embrace.
My fox among the foal.
My ace in the hole....

They take their picture in a car, on a plane, and by the pool,
Mowing the lawn, doing the dishes, and even at school.
But the strangest one by far that I have seen,
Was at a local funeral home before it convened.

Some selfies look beautiful, with no preparation or fuss,
While others look like they have just been run over by a bus.
It is all done spur of the moment and in fun,
To share a precious moment for their loved ones....

From the Rising Sea
From the Rising Sea

From the rising sea strolled the fiend,
A male serpent of solemn might.
A manifestation of night,
Scales, remnants of wings convened.

Children were no longer portals,
The feast must be a regions fate.
Time for a purge of God's mortals,
Swollen, their desires, innate.

The boiling war of forlorn horns,
Linger on the vengeful brows.
Realm’s will all fall, when mankind mourns,
Peace comes with a million bows....

Gliding
We glided,
We rolled,
We circled the rink,
Smooth, orderly throng
Of teens young-naïve;
Shyly, boys glanced
At girls slipping past,
Hearts drumming firm
For couple’s skate time,
When lights faded dim
And music beat slowed,
When dolled, giddy girls
Convened in a row
While orbiting boys
Gathered the mettle
To approach a pert face,
Suggesting it skate.
Then, hand taking hand,
Boy feeling grand,
They circled the rink,
They glided,
They rolled....

Poets all
dance and sing
paint, draw and hold purse strings
ah but some poets claim such glory
Why then do they cheat
upon Gods glory?

All in favor
clink our glasses
red wine and friendships
heaven exists
in bistros
of
honesty...
