self-recriminations
and of inadequacies.
Caught in its twist, the frail weave on,

Tortured and left
Cleft
To the inclines

A constant drain
From her taut
Body; tensions

All she could be.
But realised
With another

Without care

Across my heart
Sliced and donated,
A dated dream
My heart lies unseen;

There is no pattern, no meter needed here
No rhyme to strain for lest I swallow an iambus
Since a foot  in my mouth is not masticatable.

Convention is but a hindrance
And form is restraining
As custom is constraining
To conform is to die.

I will not live dying-ly
Audacity forever is my motto
Morality in verse is not prerequisite
And I will kill any attempt to submit to such an evil abeyance....

A sprit risen, spans the ether, soars on wings of fire, 
And milk and honey vocals sings aloud the waking choir, 
Of air and grace, salvation stirred, with elements of chance 
Redeemed and suffered unto Eden's sweet deliverance. 
In cyclic surge, the choral seas, plumb resonance so deep, 
Constraining night the blinding light surrenders fallow sleep; 
And all the galaxies rejoice in resonant appeal, 
A spirit risen courts the moon for love alone will heal....

It troubles me more than occasionally 
It affects me deeply
I feel strongly
I love deeply
I think always of how I affect 
The people around me 
It tires me 
Frequent assessments of my actions
Lumbers me 
Slowing me down

Making me think before I act 
I fence sit a lot 
The law of unintended consequences
Causes me not to rush 
I pander and question everything
My mind acts as a sentry
Assessing all of my actions
Guiding and controlling me

the kids named him
golden furry little critter
running on his wheel all day
like a little machine
he wakes and runs
and sleeps and eats
then wakes and runs
again every day 
on that wheel
except the day 
his little cage door
was left open
not his mundane routine
of running on the wheel
instead nervous excitement
all day of exploring
no constraining wheel
freedom to breath
to think to feel
I like the days 
when I discover
my cage door 
was left open...
