Shame

Shame, a shroud, has fabric woven from the dark, anguished threads of self-recriminations and of inadequacies. Caught in its twist, the frail weave on, constraining themselves in self-loathing. Unravel fibers of despair. . . Unveil! For Skat's Any Old Poem #7 Poetry Contest

It reads like a winner, and apparently it is, of course. Well done, the last line is a knockout.

Had to read this a few times. It is complex and so well done. Those "fibers of despair." Congrats on the selection. Love, daver

I really enjoyed reading your take on shame, Andrea--I think it's pretty unique, comparing it to a shroud & I actually think one of these days a person will judge it for its genius and give it a higher placing ;) no joke!

Great word and you presented it with thought and skill. Congratulations Andrea. I would have thought it would be higher but I'm not the judge. j
