A Gift Bereft

A gift bereft
Tortured and left
Cleft
To the inclines
The reclining
Desires; fought
Released
Realised
Out of
A 30 year pain
A constant drain
From her taut
Body; tensions
Constraining
All she could be.
But realised
With another
Discovered
Without care
Passion
Laid bare
Images seared
Across my heart
Sliced and donated,
A dated dream
My heart lies unseen;
A gift bereft
