The View of Illicit Possibilities
Neighbor strolls shirtless
Confining my true delight
Our eyes meet briefly
Feverishly I suppress
Wishing I was a mower...

Freedom
I like those moments
Where only for a second
Every confining thing
That is in my world
Ceases to exist

Cage Can Be Confining
Cage Can Be Confining

To the fact myself I am resigning;
Any cage can be quite confining;
Quiet am told,
And even cold;
Each moment in it was a defining.

Stay At Home
Confining to homes
Curfew comes
To know a few,why?
Still curfew
How to bring cure curfew for Corona?
Nor cure even a few
Not cure but can curtail some
Go,stay at home!...

Escape
Sickening conformity worms its way
into my unsuspecting mind,
confining me, and
I obey,
But
emancipating rebellion
quickly fires back,
Illuminating an escape, and

I break free...

By Daniel B. Holeman

The weight of me has left and I rise, eyeless, voiceless,
the world a colorful but fading sight, an orb confining
As bits of we, and he, and she, we rise in glory painless
to lose the ego side and be, one with God defining....

Reflection
Fire dances in Ice.
Light darts through refracted frozen faces.
Fire dances in Ice.
Static making motion’s statement concise,
confining passion, as it embraces
vitality within sterile spaces.
Fire dances in Ice.

Only Sharp Edges Will Release This
Heart beats
To this heat
I wish I could
Slow it down
Racing
And bumping
Into the rhythms
Of the souls
Sounds
Yearning to
Break free
From confining
Skin easily
Broken with
Knives
Let it out
Let it out
The music
Pushing against
Me
To come out...

Overlooking our Identity

This is the activity
in which each of us
engage..
Overlooking our Identity

Internal Conflict
Brain splitting in two
The mind in constant fission
To sever the fruit

Consciousness fading
The mind is put asunder
A crack is shaping

Internal conflict
My mind afflicted and awhirl
Oh the need to rest

Confining the eyes
Drift away on silent wings
A better day nears...

The Wrath of a Snake
In the sun you dictate the pace,
confining me to thick night;
still you are trampling on my tail.
Cruel man i kiss your heel.
Coyote strolls not in the day,
just man wanders not at night.

Inhibition Part 1
VIOLET: The union of body and soul creating a balance between our physical and our spiritual energies.

Explosion,
of the whirlwind,
that is time.

The spirits,
the shadows,
lingering,
pretending to,
be dead.

An old book,
with tea stains,
all over.

Incantations,
beguiling,
confining,
choking.

Will this,
be my end?...

Solidity

Separation insists
on our fleshly solidity
and fragmentary lives..
Perception daily strengthen
the confining argument..
We wish for transparency..for melting..
And search for relief
in idolatrous ways..
Until--
Transparency is experienced
as the real self
melting away the too solid flesh
which had convinced
our discomfort
all those years......

one hundred degree heat
confining and oppressive
humidity is holding me back
I feel tired and uncomfortable
traveling nowhere
because I do not want to get into a hot car
sitting on excruciatingly painful leather seats
driving in traffic with others who are uncomfortable
confined and oppressed, because this is the Midwest
and it is August, and humidity is killing us...

Stone Fruits
Handcuffed to the shadows of freedom seems to make the light more confusing, I used to feel relief at twilight in knowing the break in my burdens will be eased, Now the dark cast judgement on itself and righteousness are now rooted to a confining evil,If there be rest in season may it call out to those who rule over Heaven an Hell before humanity breaks the stone fruits of all souls.....

Shh
Shh…
Shuttered the stifling air
Confining her innocence
Clinging to a teddy bear

Shh…
Ruffled the blanket of lies
Concealing her trembling
The lids to her cries

Shh…
Echoed the corners of the room
Beneath the glowing ceiling
Of a neon moon

Shh…
Creaked the rays of flight
Unlocking morning
Pardoning night

Jesus, she whispered
Lowering her weary head
Do you know why my father
Comes to my bed...

Year2020
When I thought of the year
Take thy season from out my heart
It threw its ghost against the grades
They are perfumed from unseen brigades
And its eyes have all the lining
Long I stood there circling, confining
With such a passion for aligning
All my soul within me designing
Eagerly I looked for the decade
I threw my day upon the floor
The end is soon approaching
Time to open the next door...

Premium Member Set Me On High
Put me on the cold, hard flat stove top
Fill me with water, and turn the boil button on
Throw in potatoes, carrots, or eggs.
Set the timer to low.
Turn my handle inside, so children are safe.
My bottom will get warm.
I might even glow.
If you have no potatoes, carrots or eggs
fill me with water, and dunk in some tea bags
Leave my lid under the counter.
I do not like it.
It feels confining....

Unseen
Between shadows
Opinion is unheard
Feeling emptiness on the soul
Nobody care is she alive or dead

Sadness reflects in her lost eyes
Blank stare in the dark night
Weeping past days
Alone

Shadows
Cloak as a veil
Perceiving ostracism
As exclusion of daily life
Confining forever in four wall room

Inner fiendish voices propound
Secluding in a world

Cityscape
welcome to the many windowed cityscape
the wanton color of badly mixed paint
with a parade of personal lives
like black stockings full of runs
strafed by formations of overhead birds
whose small eyes think only to judge
passing, teasing wisps of cloudy twirl
confining we dwellers to a sunless cave
thousands and dozens stacked worshipful
stacked tightly knit in churches
longingly longing to be someplace else...
