An Open Petal
Tall grass above
a sleeping dream
Hiding what
His promise deems
Embedded deep
within the blades
New whispers seed
as life conclaves
The sun to mirror
God’s new day
Each ray He grants
new hope in play
That rises softly
through night’s travail
An open petal
— as Grace prevails

burn the candle at both ends
we shall discover it as the mystery unfolds...

But painters of death
Just lovers
Of our own breath
Takers
Till there’s nothing left.
Were not angels
But ones who fell
Just writers
Of the lies we tell
Followers
Whom march to hell.
Were bellyachers
Ones who complain
Just bloodsuckers
Leaving a stain
Unwise
Creators of lifes pain....
