Painted by East wind
Cascades of colour in air
Tall trees are now bare
Looking down on flown offspring
Proud of what they have created
sunsets colour in his eyes
midnights cold in his path
his touch burns flesh
his stare cripples men
the world has fallen
the grass is gone
and kisses missed

UNENDING BEAUTY
The colour in a flower
Majestic mountain views
A sunset that never dies-
Compareth not with
The Grace in human eyes-
Re-post inspired by Julia's contest
I still love the madness in me for you,
and it won't lose its colour in my amygdala.
Even in my hiccups, I remember the eyes that locked with mine;
I refuse to let go of this endless commotion—it’s the only way I feel alive.
she walks
straight and tall
the aroma she emulates
fills the room
dressed in style
looks as though
should be on a canvas
"Lily a vision in pink"
all want her by their side
giving them colour in their lives
standing out in a crowd
bringing a smile to faces.
a champion in the bouquet of life

I spell it humour, you may spell it humor
The ‘correct’ spelling of this word is important
‘U’ need humour in your life
If ‘U’ don’t have it, your world will be dull
The same rule applies to colour
‘U’ need colour in your life too
So please humour me with my spelling and ‘U’ can have some fun

Mirror of the Great Invisible Spirit
A globe of faces radiant with life
A crystal ball with every colour in it
A house of souls united without strife
A kingdom made of perfect pearls without cracks
With intellectual mind anointed
So that his gold splendour will reign and relax
For the mirror to birth rays unpointed
Of every colour and face for the Spirit
The bottles of gin are all empty,
The pipes have long since been lit:
Where is the Lethean water that can truly make me forget?
Where is the perfect opiate that can stem the tide of regret?
You were the colour in autumn,
You were the light in the lamp-
Your caravan moves on without me, taking the goods from the camp.
Now I am left here, forgotten: a gypsy, a wretch, a tramp.
November’s Saint
I watch Truman’s Capote's tale
in November
the south, trapped in frost
bare, naked to the eye
a penury of snow
like poor folk clothes
hardly enough to cover
the jagged edges of bones.
a boy eking out love
as a winter bird
searches for warmth
huddled against the wind.
days sad and drab
the only colour in paper kites
and dime movies
shared with a friend.
compact forms
subtle
a sketch simpified
coarse made smooth
a transparent glow
over a layered line
time discerned
a depth of plane
colour in outline
the symbolic exaggerated
in sharpened
perceptions
the serene
made beautiful
a vision felt&seen
an
affirmation
of life
My world is in darkness,
Lit only by the stars.
The trees stand as lifeless figures;
longing for the magic of photosynthesis.
The hills lie in despair;
looking like giant bodies scattered all around.
Everything in my world is in darkness:
Waiting desperately for the sun to rise in my life.
The sunrise of love,
To light my world,
And bring out the colour in my life.
I await for the day the sun will rise,
For I am but a faceless shadow,
Longing for her.
I am a copper beech tree
I’m the most beautiful tree of them all
I always change my dress with the seasons
I’ll wear bright green, then ochre and gold in fall
I love my spring dress of vivid emerald green
My gown changes colour in the cooler weather
when shades of orange, gold and red can be seen
I detest the biting winds which steal my gown,
as my naked limbs are exposed to the world
I get so embarrassed and I wear a frown!
There was no colour in the nude
and skin deep fire was raging
not leaving much of a trail.
A Janus cat,
that is our man of polity
with two faces.
Walking alone at midnight,
that is larger than life, on
death of a galaxy, where -
the crack of dawn meets
dandelion to decide the course
of bloody day. They were –
coming in huge lots to kneel
and kiss the hands of their master,
who will leave his signature –
in deep cleavage. Who was
guarding the doorway to
my sleep ?
Satish Verma
She was a roller coaster of happiness
She was the life of the party
Her smile, a ray of sunshine
And she could party hearty!
She fell in love
When autumn leaves were gold
She'd met him on the internet
Unexpected storms came with the cold
She weathered the storm
and their love grew strong
Her heart was all aglow
with love's sweet song
A sea of colour in spring
in yellow, pink, and red
were still swaying in the wind
When we heard she had shot her lover dead!
