Ant Colony

Poison dripping down,
Countless invisible screams,
The subjects are dead,
The Queens tomb unmarked unnamed,
Her Empire is no more.

Queen Unseen

ants live, die not weaned ..

from toil for colony queen ..

                              their mother unseen.

lying on lilies
lazy and luxurious

Honoring Liberty

There is no debate,
what we celebrate.
Formation of the state,
never racial hate.

Former colony,
freed from monarchy.
Honoring liberty,
not inhumanity.

Nudist Colony From Space

An androgynous
People.

Vanity
Evaporated.

Suckling babes and
Adonis no longer
Feed from the same
******.

I exhale,
Feeling
Smooth and
Whole.

Extraterrestrial.

A Colony

In a age of provisions
Dealt with meager hands

Gone are the lucent
A briskness of night impounds

Vast altercations sever the thread
The youth population carries our debts.

Premium Member The Latest Dance

There was a pretty young maiden from France
Much too modest to try the latest dance --
   She got some advice
It worked in a trice --
Let loose an ant colony down her pants

When Your Heart Is Shouting

Do not
let them
snatch these words
from your mouth
When your heart
is shouting out
leaving you with the
bread crumbs of life
Speak silently, dear friend
Welcome to the colony

Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Her mind performs tasks that are menial;
We never considered ever being congenial;
She slanders
Then ganders;
**** star belonging in colony that is penal.

Premium Member Southern Alight

In the frigid silence of glacial eve, penguins gather tight.
Emperors, waddling half in black, under half-lit southern night.
One dreams of flight, yet stays on course; with colony alights.

The Space Colony of Mars

The year:2100 The Space Federation Council
Is now in session--

We, from The Space Colony of Mars
Shall no longer
Pledge our allegiance to
Be under the jurisdiction
Of this planet called earth

In the Beehive Nest

The buzz
In beehive nest
All in a glow
Sweet honeycombs
All in a row
The colony
Must fight to survive
Two queen bees
Perform the
Dance of death
They give and take
For one busy bee
Shall lead the rest

Premium Member Get Out of My Face

Get out of my face, I holler
Leave me alone, I scream
Like spectators in a darkened arena
Like a colony of ants
Like stars in black
Like overgrown grass, dead
Like sand like coal
Get out of my face...
Whiskers

After the Storm

After the
Killer rainstorm,
The ant colony
Realized that
The Lord giveth and
The Lord taketh, away
They sang a few
Bars of Amazing Grace,
In three-quarter time, but
God is good…all the time
Thank you Lord, and
Say, Amen

Premium Member Baseball

the battle of the bats never to be won or lost
a game of baseball playing over time
the field flooded with lights to win the night
a colony of bats hanging from trees near by
comes to visit and scare the hell out of the batters
running for home base

Premium Member Mankind and Delusion

marvels of science
by leaps and bounds
yet no cure for cancer
or for basic problems
of poverty, starvation
and injustice

seriously !
do we expect we would
do notably better
at a colony on Mars?

Premium Member We Look Like Weasels

We look like weasels
But we are related to cats
Let’s do the mongoose cha cha and shake our fats!
Rata Tat Tat, Rata Tat Tat!

We like our meat
But will also eat insects and plants
We bring up our kits together
in a colony where we’ll be eating ants.

Premium Member scratching under my bed

I hear scratching under my bed
when I was young, I would have thought monster or devil
I am older now
more experienced
I visualize a colony of mice or a large hook-tailed rat
unsure which of these thoughts reassures me the most
Maybe it’s a monster, my she-devil whispers hopefully

Life, a Hurdle

Like a newborn babe
Girdled by
A colony of ants,
Like a bird in
A wooden cage,
Like a prisoner
In the Bastille,
Each human life
Is ensnared with
A great number
Of hurdles:
The path of life
Is never laden with
Silk and blossoms.
If we endeavour indeed,
We’ll attain life’s ambrosia.

Unity of the Tiny

every honeybee
keeps responsibility
nectar-search duty

        ants live, die working
        defending colony queen
        their mother unseen

                   thunders roar, winds rush
scare lightning bugs in the bush
                   twinkling as they rush
