Cimmerian of past

Wandering away from the empyrean
regions, my atrabilious soul, like
a Cimmerian, now dwell in
a realm of perpetual darkness
engulfed in an aeonian gloom.
A Cimmerian hue overlaps
The thoughts encroaching my psyche
They seem to harvest labyrinthine symmetries
Of which I covet
It matters not the appositeness
The unidentified may bear
For by passages of valor I transcend
Brass
bells ring
along swamps
shadowy edge.
Children running free;
flutes echoing laughter;
cimmerian eyed beauty
hips swaying to an earthy beat.
Simple suppers roast over fire.
Welcoming the despised plebians home.
bewitching muse
of swirling mist
beckons
girl-child crowned
with ebon hair
eager as moon
approaching
midnight sky
she moves toward
mystical rendezvous
while naivete
trembles
Note: cimmerian refers to a mythical people who lived in perpetual mist near the land of the dead.
Change styles a face,
One at a time;
Now seize the space,
Ask for new chimes;
Note then the strange:
Carved with fine gauge,
Ink fabled range,
Mark ample stage;
Make action pay,
Ever in spoils;
Rise to the day,
Instinct feeds toil;
Attend to plans;
Notice sure span.

BEAUTIFUL DAY
O dawning serenade, the blossoming.
Cimmerian eclipse is at its end.
The lemon-shine of sun is sashaying.
O dawning serenade, the blossoming!
A beautiful day for a marriage ring.
O how the sun and moon, in vows, do blend.
Cimmerian eclipse is at its end.
O dawning serenade, the blossoming.

Triolet
hidden beneath clouds
lambent light of moon
flickers through silence
within cimmerian shade of night
lambent light of moon
glows atop the crested waves
a ship's guidance
flickers through silence
a lighthouse beacon
abandoned years ago
within cimmerian shade of night
when the moon is dormant
keepers of past light ships way
trimeric
invasive hellish Cimmerian infernal fire
making a prophetic rise toward a quagmire
illuminating graves on Hallows Eve night
ghouls, ghosts and gremlins creeping out of sight
witches and warlocks casting transformation spells
forgotten skeletons shrieking from cold, dark wells
foggy air heavy with remnants of dismal dreary gloom
frightening shadows causing the wayward weak to swoon

He clothed the midnight in velvet,
With twinkling stars it is beset,
In Cimmerian lack of light,
The moon shines not in ebon night,
Sable gloom cloaks the earth in sleep,
Stygian stillness does slow creep,
In umbral silence shadows grow,
The velvet veil shrouds in dark glow.
Those dark furtive eyes,
into my own they secretly pry.
Orbs of obsidian deep,
my discipline I can barely keep.
Gaze further into my eyes,
bare me so I tell no lies.
Shred off every inch of my defense,
mesmerize me into submission like incense.
It`s driving me insane,
render me pleasure and pain.
Fill my heart with sin,
make me into someone I`ve never been.
[The Secondhand Emotion]
[Genevieve Farese]
I walk alone into the night;
into its shadowy silence
where myriad diamonds light
the sky with twinkling luminance;
where its nocturnal clutch conjures
imaginary images:
wierd, phantasmagoric specters
with unworldly, frightful faces.
Luna, mother of night shadows
beams down through naked boxelders
their swaying branches cast below
cimmerian moving creatures:
malevolent fabrications
of my grotesque imagination.
February 12, again
Must you, must you,
hotter than fire,
seek your prey.
Sun do not dare arise
nor collect your praise
for stardom.
You hid you curative warmth,
shrouded her instead
in ironic cimmerian way.
Turned to torrent,
you were but the eye
a momentary flash,
as she limply lay
Please rain today.
Please rain today.

Memories
Twilight and soon,
a sliver of silver,
gliding, glistening,
will contrast the cimmerian.
I kneel, prayers said,
tears shed.
I hear a voice?
Distant…
Is it yours?
No… Just echoes.
Oh! Great Thespian shores!
Mute and mime.
Merged are you with antiquity.
Wave upon wave,
Prompting,
Suggesting,
Rendering the former to the past!
I shall join thy waters
Misty blue,
With tears of tempest
Stormy hue,
And chance again
Another day…
ROSE MOON FOR LOVERS
Vibrancy
of vesper-velvet gown
Buddleia glass slippers fall to ground
Fairy lights,
the climaxing of stars,
in blue-eyed diamond-facet orbs
Riveting
rose moon, kiss of jasmine
in cimmerian shade of Eden
Silhouette
flirt, her bodacious trunk,
vines wrapped around her beckoning arch

My eyes refuse to see the night
simply as a Cimmerian shade of day
Not because I am afraid of it...
As a child, you fear going into even
a dimly lit room in your own home
because of the monsters in your
closet or under your bed
As I grew older, I ceased to believe
they lived in such places in my room,
but in the shadows of alleyways or parks
I no longer fear the dark nor the
monsters in my room, but
the monsters which hide in the world outside
when i close my eyes
your memory seeps
with the remora of mind
i can feel your breath
sigh with night's air
as the draught from your stare
allures me in the depths
of your umber eyes
the horripilation of flesh
erupts beneath your touch
as i rise and fall
within the cimmerian shade
that night often brings
i awake
trembling
in mind's glimpse
yet you still linger
in the corner
of bluest depths
trickling
down
like soft rain
upon my lips
as memories
seep
