The Monsters of the World

My eyes refuse to see the night simply as a Cimmerian shade of day Not because I am afraid of it... As a child, you fear going into even a dimly lit room in your own home because of the monsters in your closet or under your bed As I grew older, I ceased to believe they lived in such places in my room, but in the shadows of alleyways or parks I no longer fear the dark nor the monsters in my room, but the monsters which hide in the world outside
