Pulled Back
Mind chided him,
Pushed forward by love, he retracts,
Ego pulled him back!...

Sibling Rivalry
Girl
Baby
Born last month
To brother’s wife
An ocean of joy to grandma,my mom

Were you so glad Ma, when my son was born
I dared to ask
Teasing her
Just for
Fun

Shush!
Stop it
Silly girl
Gulp down envy
She chided me like I was ten years old

Rsa the Return
The one who wanted to stay
is now chided by Brother
as the one who got away
followed his Wife to England in 60
and revisited in 79
absence so dearly noted
replete the years
saint not sinner
who rode the years
not persecuting by choice
because missing South Africa is inconsolable...

Premium Member Halloween Hiccup
Some children arrived dressed as ghouls,
I asked don’t they learn dates in schools -
They’d come one day early,
Were rude and got surly,
I chided them as stupid fools!

A Moment of Piety
Cliffs were sentinels reaching to the sky Gulls chided my presence with loud decry I scaled a hilltop to glimpse the sea Piety washed in gentle waves over me Never had I felt so humbled before, watching fingers of foam fondle the shore October 26, 2021 Bite Size Poem no24 Contest Sponsor: Line Gauthier

Dark Friends

You can not be friends with the darkness.
It takes and leaves nothing behind.
It tells you what you want to hear,
but you better fear,
what it has... in mind.

It does not have your best interest.
Do not be misguided,
or chided into doing something
you would never normally do.
Be strong.

Lost Lanky Ink
eerie syllables spanked
by tainted trance
nocturnal nature puked
bounty boo blew
hoisting haggard rhymes
porous perfection chided

life like limb
lusty labium crippled
vying velocity tripped

dark days damped
traced gullible dance
drooling death pat

pulpy pen dripped
lost lanky ink.

Kid In Mud
Mired in grime,
the little guy sang,
he had little sense,
of what was neat and clean,
he spluttered mud,
as he fell in the quagmire,
with a gleeful thud,
the mom came along,
before long,
chided him hard,
for he was growing fast,
and faster still gathering dirt,
she was fearful of him,
of the ills he might catch,
he still wanted,
the mud,
as much delight as it could fetch....

Save-A-Lot Tennessee
One percent milk chided the butter about its worth,
And the eggs got all cracked up at the stock boys’ jokes.
Nutty candy bars laughed joyfully at all the mirth,
But all shunned the outcast; a pack of generic smokes.

Ground Chuck had just been through the grinder
Yet he was glad when he encountered fresh, hot buns.
Over in health and beauty, condoms became a reminder,
Trash magazines spreads all; Hot and cross rolls share puns!...

Europe's concerned
  The world will burn
Russia's a tad worried
  Her ambitions may be buried

Mr. Obama's lashed out and chided
His country's withdrawal as "seriously misguided"
Ordinary residents of the Middle East
Do not want to unleash war's beast...

High up in the sky
Beyond where eagles dare fly
One angel confessed to the Good Lord, his Friend:

I was counting on Mr. Trump
To act like a Chump--
Did he? ~ 'Think the world's gonna end?'...

Premium Member We Koi Fish
we koi are not normally curious about debris dumped into our pond
This time things were different
A land animal had been dumped
One of the giant land animals!

We swam closer and found a channel open
Not that close! Papa Koi chided us
"I have seen their kind before.”
He had barely escaped one of them.

The pretty pink haired girl stared at the koi.
They were vibrantly golden, pretty.
She had consulted her runes this morning.
She was to find the leader; but how?...

Taunted
Silk curves buoyant
hiss in their unzipped motion
unfolding desire
chided into spaces
as distance shorten
expose to un-sheathe
the quivers
of enticement;

Seriatim sling shots
embedded within
the tremor
of high pitched
vocals
caress
the wet slips
in agony;

Chastise
moments?
but i yearn
for more
in flexed
sinew
and tightened
muscles;

Impetuous
for I breathe
warmth and fire
into your cold soul
with a smile
provoking you
to a world of
another entity?...
