A Mother's Home Cements a Family
A Mother's Home Cements A Family

Foundations laid in early years,
Walls protecting.
Wood, Brick, Stone,
Pillars of wisdom and inner strength.

Structure contains compassion, love,
Unconditional support.
Occasional putty filling cracks,
Intimacy granting shelter.

Doors swinging open and shut,
Always welcoming, forgiving.
Keys open countless memories,
This is not a house... but a home....

One again hears the rendition
of the songbird’s morning tide trill,
amongst shades of trembling light
that, which still meanders upon
the hillside, where unsung meadows
interact in dishevelled jade,
here were one to relive again
if only a fleeting moment,
an indulgence of nostalgia
that for me, cements in my mind
my youth and my esteem for you.
“A portrait of foreverness”.

Injustice

You sell identities like lemonade
On a hot summer afternoon

You lick the frosting of another soul
Off of the barrel of your gun

You let murderers walk the streets
To fill prisons with sunflowers

You fill media with celebrity gossip
While people starve and die

Corruption cements the walls of justice together
While we debate basic human rights

And the worst part of it all
Is me sitting here letting it happen...

In the Land of the Poets
Poets comes from places
where the bridges
are made of memories,
and the words come out
to rain elsewhere ...
In this place the angels in
rainbow dresses, are
 slices of heaven ...
In this place, in the kingdom
called poetry ... silence
of words dissolves
any anguish, and emulates
all joyfulness ... and all
days fresh poetry made
of dreams and memories
appears ...
and the poet of that land
collects and with them
 cements his
life...!...

Going Home
People
to buy a house,
To build a safe house
on the cements
on the roofs of other houses
to own a sweet home
To cross the border,
over the barbed-wire fence
To get house
No one lives in
To be a gray bull
to cross the boundary,
follows him from afar
Groans of the horned black cows,
follow him in the distance
but the bull feels
contrary to his own brightening,
fading night grows darker and darker
He can't even see
a dot ahead of himself.
Slipped into the fine pitfalls....
