From a Distance

Waterfalls cascade down mountaintops
Huddling stones gathering fine crop
A pastoral reel where man can't drop
Just watching the view from eye's knobs

Laughter

Laughter best medicine.
Love to let the laugh loose.
Let my hair cascade down.
Lose my silly sad frown.
Language of poetry,
Lets me bring a fun smile.
Letting friends laugh awhile.
Form: Verse

silver-thread wonders

cascade down moss-covered rocks...

         a breathtaking sight

Home

Slicing through bellowing winds,
Cracking the mirror in two;
Black silhouettes cascade down the glass,
Catching the golden hues
that stare, deceived by their own reflections
marred in the murky depths,
never to see truth.

Garden of Lush

Ethereal, swaying
With their delicacy,
Swinging as the downy
Breeze tenderly chants hymns,
  Echoing on mountain tops…

Reared by the golden drops,
That cascade down sapphire
Skies, blooming,
Looming with beauty
In all genuine eyes…

Night Shade

In the night shade I dream
Silvery whispers cascade down into my soul
Searching for the everlasting kiss
Immortal lips upon my own
Sending shivers down my spine
Into my very bone and marrow
Waking with a knowing glow
In my blood you live and flow

Canada True North Strong and Free

Canada winters bitterly cold
Avalanches cascade down slopping hills
North side faces steep and icy
A tiny town sits beneath trees that are old
Down the mountain whose beauty kills
Although their beauty is enticing

Tough and strong
Bold but true
Where everyday
Brings something new
Form: Acrostic

Premium Member Patterns On Glass

Scattered patterns made by rain
cascade down my window pane
Over glass a teardrop trail
navigates without a sail

I must stand by, helplessly
as they glisten in the light
keeping vigil through the night
in fear they're lost at sea

Premium Member The Sun

The sun awakes from a night of slumber
Rays cascade down I start to wonder
Birds take off traversing an upward flight
Gliding them into a newfound light
The waves of the ocean start to applaud
The sun looks down, a wink and a nod
A sea of people embrace the warmth it makes
A spectrum of colors bounces off the lake
The trees reach up to shake its hand
Voices from nature cavalcade across the land

A Spiral

i want to tear my body into ribbons
and watch myself cascade down onto the floor
i cannot keep reforming myself just to fall apart again
efforts to maintain a stasis in composure are wasted on this anxiety-ridden mind
my legs are still writhing in pain
my chest hasn’t ceased its tightening
i don’t understand it
i can’t keep this up
i don’t know if i’m cut out for anything
it’s all so much right now
too much

To the Pint

O Guinness, lovely Guinness,
Irish black rose of the night.
I drink in your beauty,
a wonderment of sight!
Velvety raven body,
filling out that cold glass,
I look into your dark eyes,
you wicked, sassy lass.
I watch your tiny bubbles
cascade down and sigh,
like feather-like snowflakes
falling down from the sky.
Your heavenly head leaves
foam above my lip,
I cherish our shared moments
with each tender sip.
