The media's ablaze,
Sexual harassment crazed;
In the rest of the world
Terrorism's unfurled
The world careens forward,
Never turning back;
Technology's king--
It's civility we lack!
Today Again
It does not improve
the void where hope once lived
now genocide has set her tent
among the childrens’ toys
toy trucks and broken dolls
blood smeared
the silence smocked
in mothers’ tears
a father’s curse breaks with the sun
an ambulance careens
through dust and concrete humps
this life with death as his bride.
Within her screams of joyous wild fire passion
Leaps a dynamic feeling of awesomeness
Love splinters through every pore of elation
Sparks of wonderment points to her loveliness
She expresses her harmonic propelled heart
She careens by all my insides to impart
Explosions come by her, every piece of her
Power in amazement is how I confer

the days
in wild frenzy
whistle by
before long
weeks turn
to months
to years
on the racetrack
life in a blur
careens at
headpopping speed
i can barely hang on
yet
every once
in a while
it pauses
for a rare
precious moment
i take a deep breath
and thank god
you’re still here

Why does the trolley
dolly or cart
I choose to use
in every supermart
always have a wonky wobbly wheel
and feel oh so wearing
as if it's about to lose
its marbles or ball bearings?
It clunks like junk with a 'thunking' sound
and almost dumps
my groceries on the ground
won't go straight
invariably tilts veers
careens or curves
and without a doubt
indubitably gets on my nerves
Sweet virgin, with the tenderest eyes,
We will burn together at the stake.
For all the dreams we tried to douse,
That have kept us both awake.
For I fell into your temptress arms,
Like a child falls into a well.
Like angels fall from the sky,
Like the innocent fall into hell.
Sweet virgin, with the tenderest lips,
And a smile that careens my soul.
We stand together before the crowd,
In a flame that swallows us whole.
Her bulbous profile and pungent odor
That sunken chin and busy motor
A tremulous scowl crosses her flaring lips
From her cup rum she gulps, while others sip
Her mouth opens wide in a hideous grin
Displays shocking tooth decay within
Some teeth rotten; others chipped
Best she keeps her lips tightly zipped
Abruptly she emits a belch and a fart
As she starts steering her grocery cart
Wildly it careens, as customers swoon
Wuddya expect from a drunken baboon
A brook cascades daintily extant
~ flowing gayly heart’s incited joy
Meandering, nestles on Peace
~ quivering restraints strain ‘n squirm
Breaking-bank, careens downwards
~ extols faith’s grim heart-bomb
Undulating, veering waves extrapolate
~ Yonder’s zooming blue-adieu
Sojourns, so-longs, traversing under veils
~ weathering wry extremes
Heart’s incessant journey keels love’s mainland
~ new opaque's reach...
