Pain painted over
By words describing the pain,
A false remedy
To those who have forgotten
Black walls don't make rooms brighter
He looked at me.
I saw him through the slats.
His eyes brighter than the moon,
Smile as pink as a rose.
From that moment I knew.
Forty summers, forty springs
You concentrate on brighter things.
Then forty autumns, forty cold
Decembers…and you’re growing old.

Has given me hope;

And good old many days to come.
