Cement Walls

He looked at me.
I saw him through the slats.
His eyes brighter than the moon,
Smile as pink as a rose.
From that moment I knew.

This is much like tanka. The "slats" is interesting as a metaphor - don't know whether you meant it that way. The last line is interesting in this regard. I like it just as a romantic piece. Congrats on the selection. daver
