wake up knowing you
are only one in billions
facing a new day
go to sleep thankful
you survived another day--
numerous did not
For billions of years
I did not exist.
Then I existed
for a little while.
Soon I will return
to not existing
for the rest of time.
Oh, mother earth you that care for billions of Man’s cruel children why are you so kind?

To fight a war
you cannot win…
what are you to do?
As missiles fly
and billions die
—the blame belongs to who?
(Dreamsleep: March, 2022)
Bill Gates may be a little richer,
so what! but I'm a better writer!
although a few billions poorer,
I can't ask for anything better.
oceans beauty cries
tears create great sea levels
overflowing land
earths womb is miraculous
surviving billions of births
Sub-zero temperature
Moisture in the air frozen
Into billions of tiny crystals...
Savage beauty

Living on my own,
I cause no one harm.
Living on my own,
I embrace the charm
Of living on my own
Like billions of stars
Quietly shining in their very own world.
When we imagine stars
or celestial bodies that
are millions of light-years away,
we are looking at how they were
in the distant past of
billions of years ago.... !
I am one star
among billions
I am one trying
to find my identity
among the confusion of life
This life we live in
is full of facination
and wonder
Waiting to be explored
How bizarre
They are
In their underwater
Paradise
Gardens of coral and sea-plants,
Ever green,
Pregnant with billions
Of babies
Waiting
To meet their purple dad.
when the king was told that his old-boy friends’ billions were hurting
that his people were starving
and that some unworthy workers were dying
he proclaimed
let them eat red meat
I now declare war on your regime
Round up your Chicago schoolboys
Who believed in free markets
At the hand of the gun
I'll bring billions
Of people whose
Values died
For your
Game
the sun and the moon
both shine there light
in the day there is one light
and at night there is more than the eye can see
in the day you see but days
at night you see billions of years

How many people have spoken to that moon,
So beautiful and gentle, shining bright.
Surely it's filled with billions of words of love,
That's how love's words illuminate our hearts with light.
billions twinkling stars
riddle of evolution -
trail the milky way
The written universe
countless worlds of writers
billions of bright ideas
this telescope sees it all
celestial connections
unify the hearts
of readers and writers
with divine wishing stars
heaven's ancient lights
dispatched billions of years past
glisten in your eyes
*Light travels at the speed of 186,000 miles per second
When we look up to the stars, we view light sent eons ago
On this verdant place
Surrounded by blue oceans…
Many billions dwell
Yet on this crowded planet
Only my sunshine rises

People by the billions
watching a moon devouring a sun.
Soon after-the devouring is forgotten-
Like a holocaust.
Like the twin towers.
Like a trinity
Like the two hundred
Hostages
of
HAMAS.
heaven's ancient light
sent billions of years ago
sparkles in your eyes
***Light travels at the speed of 186,000 miles per second
When you look at the stars, you are seeing light sent many eons ago
it is what it is
sunrise either warm or cold
a light in the sky
the sun is being
and the keeper of the time
for billions of eyes
as the sunrises it sets
half a world away
my east and your west
Hope Diamond is worth two hundred millions.
Donated to Smithsonian by one worth billions.
This forty-five carat gem was sent to them by regular mail.
They were lucky the 1958 postal service did not fail.
Billions of tax dollars, for a useless curtain
"Gringo, we just dig a tunnel to move our drugs under your fence"
Been doing it for years, worthless a screen door on a submarine
