We serve the moment,
bespeaks the Lord

To live eternal
—in time untoward

Gone With the Wind
Scarlett O' Hara's bonnet bespeaks,
"As God as my witness. I'll never be hungry again!"
It captures Rhett Butler, Fair Oaks and Tara,
Survives the Civil War and Ashley's sin.
72 years have passed, that's how long it's been....

Charming child, your apple cheeks
give an appearance which bespeaks
of girlish innocence.
I have ten dollars and ten cents -
Now that you have gained my trust,
do with me what you must.
Sell me cookies, 'lil booger,
and kill me with loads of sugar. ...

Submission
Your teeth, locked in steel jaw force,
sink further into my skin, I wince.
You release.
        Your growl bespeaks your passion.

Cartesian Instant
Reality’s made
of what
it is
Not what
it might
have been

The apple
landing
on my head
Bespeaks
of now
not then

All abstract
nature
Plato drawn
To live
behind
the mask

What’s real
in substance
real in form
No future
and
—no past

Out there, a universe sings in 2/4 times and my soul resonates. Identity is a spiritual thing, not just a mortal one. You know who you really are when the soul’s eyes and ears are open to the oneness of all life. A Melding of universal mind bespeaks the dharma; silence is the harmony of the ethers within.

Walk Within My Heart
I chanced to walk amongst the roses
and saw reflections within my heart
ghosts of hidden entities that
were so much a part of me-

Lost in sacred illusion
and crying within my soul
thorns that racked my being
deliverance from the eternal whole-

Sunlight within my refuge
sheltered beyond the morning dew
rivers etched in scattered time
bespeaks of love forever true-...

A Different Kind of Book
Whiskey nose, baggy eyes Furrowed brow and ruddy cheeks Wistful look on wasted face Oh, the many years this face bespeaks Lines laid down by life’s stern pen A story writ by time and then: Revised and rewritten o’er and o’er again ‘Pon living parchment of brow and cheeks A living tome of life and time From mother’s milk to summer’s wine In living lines…Aye, a book …is this face of mine…

This wondrous web of life bespeaks a true spiritual nature,
and is there for each of us by Almighty God’s own sacred,
heavenly plan in our times of happiness and strife, and do
know that it fortifies, both the mortal and mystical aspects
of our existence which define each of us as human beings
as we each progress onward throughout our lives by the
merciful grace and true eternal blessing of Almighty God.

Winter's Embrace
Dawn breaks through the darkened night
exhaling beams of sprinkled light
across dense blankets of snowy white.

Naked, bony limbs start snapping
reaching arms upward while napping
allotting chilled moss to lay wrapping.

Frosted crystalline water awaiting
the ice-kissed surroundings, while creating
melancholy moans of biting wind deflating.

Craggy hilltops bordering, in sharp peaks,
glistening barren landscapes in streaks
as relentless Winter hibernation bespeaks....
