Whiskey nose, baggy eyes Furrowed brow and ruddy cheeks Wistful look on wasted face Oh, the many years this face bespeaks Lines laid down by life’s stern pen A story writ by time and then: Revised and rewritten o’er and o’er again ‘Pon living parchment of brow and cheeks A living tome of life and time From mother’s milk to summer’s wine In living lines…Aye, a book …is this face of mine…
