Extend Not a Hand of Need

Better be content with your own little
Than extend a shameful hand of need
Never ever should you belittle
Your lofty soul and submit to greed

Gossip

The one who gossips,
is usually the worst,
of everyone they talk about,
and everyone they curse.

Trying to belittle,
those they hate,
these sort of people,
always take.

Would Belittle My Acquittal

Would Belittle My Acquittal

Me many people often would belittle;
I finally would receive an acquittal;
So you know;
Let me go;
Was case they declared a mental.

Premium Member Those Who Gain

simplify others
belittle the truth
propaganda grows on their roof
instead of flowers
sadly
this becomes
the seeds of hate

"Often those with nothing, have the most to gain"

Labor

Oh, prize the man
whose honor is believe
in his own labor
functioning's retrieve!

In that same trend
the woman can conceive
and not belittle fortune
as being up her sleeve!

Premium Member Just Hang Up the Phone

Amazing, how easily we can be bewitched
By someone who deliberately flips our switch.
Better to ignore all attempts to belittle us
Just hang up the phone and have a good cuss!

Melancholy

Melancholy should belittle gloomed sentiment coursing amongst my veins
Depression’s spontaneity constricts thy soul
Wearily fighting encroaching tears
Lend me a hand, heart, or prayer
(It’s not an easy road America)

Premium Member The Foul Grinch

Beware the ol' Grinch, for it’s a cinch Into your Christmas, he’ll throw a wrench He loves to belittle With poo-poo and piddle Wherever he goes he leaves a stench.

Dismiss

Dismiss me like I am nothing
Diminish my worth in your life
Discount my value to you
Belittle the years spent together
As if they were of tittle or no significance for you
Leaving me with my heart in my hand crushed

Premium Member Watch That Thought Ego Begot

Little by little
Fear forms whittle
Dimming soul’s light

Day and night
Crouched in fright
Dark thoughts belittle

Our mindful eye
Thus does decry
Onset of grief

Ego, joys thief
To get relief
We wingless fly

Scarred By You

Hurt
is what
I feel when
you belittle
me with harsh, unloved,
abusive and slained words.
You make me feel bad about
myself to the point where I can
not look in the mirror to face what
you have made me from the pounds of your fists.
Form: Etheree

Abuse

ABUSE
Aiming anger at another to harm them,
Betraying the trust of another to belittle them.
Use of control in a negative way for personal gain,
Satisfying self by inflicting pain on another.
Erasing your own happiness by robbing one of theirs.

Arise
Shed your old self
Let isolation back
Restart a new way of living
Release the grudge feelings that haunt your mind
Be kind to you, don't belittle
Give thanks for a new day
Don't waste your time
Resurge

Thankful

In the precious grace of freedom
I give no chance to belittle thy favor
God, thanks for being my chum
With your help, danger zone is of flavor

And the turn around seems to make me
Like a professional expert
That makes his ways be
 With none or less effort

The Package

This is a tiny prayer.
Do not let the size of it,
Belittle its importance.
The miracle is often in the details.
It has been prayed on your behalf.
There is no expiration.
You don't have to do...anything.
It is a gift.
In Jesus name,
Amen.

I'M Not

No I do not belittle myself
Its just that I'm no good.
No I'm not always negative towards myself
I've only spoken what is really true

Even if people begin to laugh at me
I won't get mad because what they say is true
I'm ugly and Its okay
Because its nothing I can change

First Frost

The rose’s petals were stiff and brittle,
a gift from some northern wind,
and though this fate I should not belittle,
the spite I could not defend.

Nonetheless I felt anger settle,
	loss that would never mend,
beautiful flower is now nettle,
the start to a colder trend.

Premium Member Take Pride In Who You Are

I’m proud to bring this blessing to anyone out there
anyone near or far….
Please…never let another person
determine or belittle who you are….

To reach the dreams you might have…
whatever wishes…hopes…or goals…
may you find the bravery you need within your heart
and the courage within your soul.

Premium Member My Dream Creature

My dream creature was a glorious sight
He kept me warm each and every night
With a walrus face
But he knew his place
And he cozied into it really tight

Some might belittle my alien guy
They might even ask me, why girl, why?
He is ugly sure
But intentions so pure
And man could he ever make me sigh!

Never Let Them See

A simple girl
Bright blue eyes and
Cherry lips
Disguised by
Every worthy
Face that fits
Guarding
Her humble heart
Incase others
Just can’t see. By
Keeping them
Little. They won’t belittle
Me
Never letting
Persnickety people
Question how
Radiant I can
Shine, keeps me shining
Time after time

Premium Member Sarcasm

I do not like sarcasm in humans
I believe it comes from a lack of self esteem
Trying to belittle and embarrass others
In anattempt to feel superior it would seem

Not a redeeming or kind quality
Saying goes ‘Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit’
I tend to think sarcastic humans suffer with constipation
Thus, they are full of sh.t!

Scapegoat

A time tested honor
to be branded a goner,
just stand in the middle
of their circle of blame.
In this sex-crazed society
still obsessed with propriety,
it is you they'll belittle
to protect their good name.

Premium Member Belittled Bedraggled

Listen to poem:
Constant denigration
wears you down
you feel so small
as your efforts are
downgraded with cast-off scoffs.
Your pearls bedraggled,
lack lustre,
displayed dimmed and dulled,
squelched by doubt,
smeared in fear.
Duet performance discordant
sung in disharmony
with lead player out of tune,
tone-deaf.
Belittled, you be,
and bedraggled becomes you.

Do I Love Him

He doesn’t belittle me because he is wiser
Is that’s why I believe in myself?

He doesn’t destroy me because he is angry
Is that’s why I am confident in life?

He doesn’t play games with me because he is bored
Is that’s why I don’t have trust issues?

He doesn’t forget to kiss my forehead because he is in hurry
Is that’s why I keep falling for him?

Premium Member I Fledge Allegiance To My Birds

Disclosure: This is in no way to belittle "The Pledge of Allegiance". I love America!!! This was just something fun that came to mind, as I have four pet birds that I adore.

I fledge allegiance to my birds,
And the united birds of America,
And to the Republic for which birds stand
On one leg, under God, barely visible
On a fir tree with justice for all.
