Please move it on sir
you are holding up the line

Could you repeat that? Oh, yeah!
See that ‘Been-There-Done-That’ sign?...

A Celebration of Birth
In a tired
always connected
forget news
give me dirt
world of been there done that
even have the tee shirt
We are suddenly, thankfully
brought back to earth
By the wonderful, magical
mystery of birth....

ALCOHOL ABUSE

I’ve been there done that
The words flow so easily
Lips barely moving
But the eyes start to dance
Try to recall beginnings

I’ve been there done that
Words of both release and grasp
A quiet searching
With noisy implication
As to both past and future...

Travel,
always begins,
months in advance of time,
arrangements, tickets, hotel booked,
then on that day, you are ready to go,
been there, done that, no problems yet,
now time for the return,
back home from our,
travel.

Past Is A Teacher Miracle Man 1/5/2025 In reviewing our past life, which we cannot rearrange. Let it become our instructor, on habits we must change. Our past can be a good instructor, “It’s been there, done that.”, By ignoring its teachings, more of what’s past is begat.

Intelligent Women
Do not fear intelligent women
When in love they happen to be such fools.
They would attend to your every demon
With dreams of a white gown of lace and tulle.

Been there, done that, wore those shoes, have that bruise.
Exaggeration played a silly trick.
"Got used to being yours and now I'm whose?"
Turns out I'm mediocre and not schick....

Times of Unrest 6/7/2020 While some protesters are sincere others are violent. Many are content to trace along as a face in the crowd, snapping selfies to document for the uninterested, that they had indeed “been there, done that”. Proving that their bit part of something, was better than a leading role- of nothing. Tom

Been there, done that, looking back, we affirm
The sole doing we need is surrender,
Humbly choosing to conform, not confirm,
Allowing the divine blissful thunder
Manifest as we look on in wonder.
All doership limited, so must recede
As ego ferality we do weed,
Softly, slowly, one layer at a time,
Until lower urgings themselves concede,
Void of silence ushering the love chime.

Yeah, so I’m not perfect
Try as I might or do
And that’s what it’ll take
For you

No! You protest
Heh
Yeah, right
Whateva

See, I’ve been there, done that
It’s not you
It’s me
Clichéd truth at its finest

I’m so (bleepin’) scared
Just so ya know

I like the hell outa you

It’d be easier if you didn’t like me back.
Which you probably don’t anyway.

Silly me.
As if perfection were attainable

Heh...

The Heart Set Free
mesmerized, hypnotized,
the eyes that can't see the lullaby,
waking up, cleaning the inside,
searching the love that no longer hides,
been there, done that, we all say the same,
but everyday the hearts in constant change,
always blending in sameness...how can our muscles move?,
the different parts of the body God gave us to proove,
the variety of love given, are we willing to see?,
the open door to his love, the heart set free....

Late Bloomer

It wasn’t until I was half my age
That I came into my own
And finally felt whole.

Now at sixty six
I’m not sure what you’d call
The way I feel.

Over the hill
Ripe in a hard cider way
Nobody going nowhere.

But there is peace
In having been there, done that
And gotten over the need for more.

Knowing in my bones
What a long strange trip
It has always been.

(4/6/25)...

Premium Member My Epitaph Will Read...
Here lies Deadline Devonshire, tardiness she did abhor
Her editor will tell you, "She was never late before"

Her sister laid claim to the gene pool’s beauty and brains
Carolyn took credit for writing verse that’s inane

Believed in reincarnation; wasn't Cleopatra
She merely adopted "been there, done that" as her mantra

She was the first to acknowledge her imperfection
But writing her own epitaph? Too much self-reflection!...

Sick Three Point Zero
Sunless days, moonless, starless nights
Frustrated, my eyes hurt, bright lights
Spare me, please stop the endless fights
You turn left, he fights for his rights

I tried to think and tried not to
Been passive, tried to fight back too
I tried to wait and tried not to
Been there, done that, and done this too

Like a sticker that doesn't stick
The witheres rose that you won't pick
Just like the box that you won't tick
I'm just so tired of being sick...

Work In the Kimgdom
My work is in the Kingdom, not for corrupt reward.
This for the Master Christ , the service of the Lord.
And not for money do I labor or that called vain glory.
Been there done that, it leads nowhere it's all the same sad story.

My work is in the Kingdom , as I walk beneath.
Though fit the way unsurprised and filled with much the grief.
The end of the road is Heaven and Jesus waiteth there
The work and walk be worth the trouble , He of me taketh care....

Life
Life is a struggle.
Life is full of pain.
Life will make you cry.
Life will make you wanna die been there done that left all my problems to the most
High.
Life still hurts but not as bad now that im walking with the most high.
Life brings me joy.
Now that i can see through the rain.
No more burdens for me to carry they were not really mine anyway.
Life will make you want to call it quit.
But when you a child of the most High God your problems he can fix....
