Time Of Man

see a man of a man
in some world
   twisted
   discarded
a nature waiting
to forest a barrenness
paroled from a stench
in a pre-birth of time
   his time
when . . .
. . . and that shall
be asked again

The Park

Hand-in-hand gossiping widows
sit on vacant, unwashed benches
enjoying the warmth of the day while
glancing at men awaiting nothing
as they stare into space
overwhelmed by the barrenness of loneliness
and sorrows as mental images
recall a past love.
Dreaming will continue.

Edgar Allan Poe Died in 1849, you know. We heard his telltale heart beneath the floor; Then quoth the raven: nevermore! Napoleon Bonaparte, His marriage to Josephine got blown apart. Her barrenness: his Rubicon; His name, he thought, should live ever on.

August Wind

You blow
Sweeping away
The dead leaves
And
Memories;
Sweet and bitter,
Off
Making both
Nature and I
Despondent
Allowing
The Sunlight
To soak up
The wet
Making
The land
A wasteland
Beasts running
Behind mirage
In quest of
Water until
Die
No more
Rainy clouds, buds
And bees
No happiness
But
The barrenness

Drought

once was fertile the world
now nowhere the lushness,
becoming barrenness the womb
the landscape full of desert flood
drought the throat of flying souls
the gigantic abdomen of the ocean full of food poison
hemlock- the every roots of the ground
venom-the breast of pregnant woman
all, everywhere antiserum weeds!

Your Voice

Night falls
And loneliness creeps in,
Your voice
Follows the emptiness
of my soul.
The tears evaporate;
Love flow
Crossing the barrenness within
And the coldness of hearts
Transform.

WINTER

                       Winter enters on snowy splendor.
In calm and cold frosty wonder.
Next name came: Natty Jack frost clown,
                       Targeting temperature down.
                       Elating elegant whiteness.
                       Raunchy in wild bare barrenness.

Whispers of Love

Whispers of love; Take my heart to sea Labor my strength to weakness Till my yields into barrenness Gown my garments in nakedness Set me free within your cages Feed my abundance with your plate of hunger Let me breathe under your tidal waters Let me rest under your scorching sun And let my cry for freedom, yearn to forever be enslaved to your will.

Lady's Slippers

One day! She believed!
Her prince would come,
Until then she awaits,
Years of barrenness,
Endangered nakedness,
Fragile pretty,
Pink and white flowers
Rare exotic beauty,
Raindrops of kisses,
Awaken her from sleep,
Lady’s slippers grow,
Excited feet run!
Taken by the breeze,
Into woodland forest,
Over swamp land,
Lonely footprints,
Searching for love
Her dying spirit calls,
Murmuring sounds,
Echoes back.

Strife

I look ugly and sombre
reflected in the gay
mirror,abashed,
a misplaced creature,
of raging strife
whose soul howls a burning
cry.

A crescendo of gripping fears
threatens to engulf me
I stand with conscious
barrenness
gnawing me,
shameless tears mocking me.

The chaotic future lures me
netting me with glittering
dreams,
hopeful desires
while I with a pregnant mind
stumble back to the cradle of
clutching rags.

Love’s Desert

You left me there, alone, empty,
baked in the seething heat of hate.
Dried petals screaming: “I love you not!”
blowing across a soundless nothingness,
faint echoes of a whimpering heartbeat
fading in the shifting dunes,
crushed beneath the beauty of love’s barrenness.
Alone, under the lifeless light of desert moon
I weep, my future a wavering mirage.

Beauty In the Heart of Darkness

Beauty in the heart of darkness

Walking in the crowd
Clothed in a shroud
Shouting all aloud
Not minding if it's allowed
Wanting to be proud
Never to be cowed
It's beauty in the heart of darkness
Swimming in the pool of gladness
Who can rid it of its sadness?
Or who can cure it of its madness?
When faced with barrenness
Ever craving for sweet melody
Never praying for a tragedy
Seeking endlessly a remedy
To all forms of malady

I Want

Yes, I want
I want the feather

Yes, I want
I want the ink of fair

Yes, I want
I want the wisdom

Yes, I want
I want the Humanness's Freedom

I want the white as well as black
I want the west as well as east
I want fertility to help the barrenness
I want the undeveloped-developed unity

Yes, I want
I want the tomb as my poetry

Yes, I want
I want life as good worldly

And, Yes, I want.........

Snaring

While delaying gratification,
you stripped-down
to bones.

It was winter solstice,
when day and night confronted
each other-

in negativity. Tracking
the frozen footprints, my absence
was generic.

I dread the barrenness-
of looks, the unwritten wounds
seeking the healer.

The avalanche falling
rapidly on the streets, with placards
demanding the gallows-

for the tainted. The
victim lies still. Ashes fly
back at the purebreds.

To a learned philosopher
Or to a logical thinker
The gesture of this lone lady
Wrapping linens around this tree
Might look like a modern madness
Or drabness rooted on slackness...
Only one with a heart love-filled
Could feel her longing unfulfilled
Bearing children; rearing gladly
Owing barrenness, stilled sadly
She, hence, prays to this banyan tree
Age-old sign of fertility
To make her life absolute whole
And fill with gladness, her sad soul…
