Lady's Slippers

One day! She believed!
Her prince would come,
Until then she awaits,
Years of barrenness,
Endangered nakedness,
Fragile pretty,
Pink and white flowers
Rare exotic beauty,
Raindrops of kisses,
Awaken her from sleep,
Lady’s slippers grow,
Excited feet run!
Taken by the breeze,
Into woodland forest,
Over swamp land,
Lonely footprints,
Searching for love
Her dying spirit calls,
Murmuring sounds,
Echoes back.

Your lovely lines reminded me of Cinderella and the glass slipper - fairy tale imagery created for a lovely flower:-) hugs Jan xx
