Lies, I Tell You

The myth of extreme self righteousness
Forever hard to find
Words poisonous like venom
Backstabbing for per diem
Corruption among this game we call chess
Form: Limerick

The End

Someday
is full of crap
I am moving
forward
And never
looking back
Go ahead
Let me go
Throw me away
As far as
Time will flow
I am gone
Never to return
I can’t take the
Twists and
Backstabbing
Turns
I am gone
Like
Dust in the wind
That is it
This is the end

Love To Hate

We tell people
To love not hate
but what happens
When people love to hate
Love to bring people down
They say you can have
An addiction to love
Can you have one to hate
Getting high on the backstabbing
The hurtful world
For if that is true
It seems a sad fate
To only know love
As hate

Normal Enough

Not bad looking
 Not petty though
Not too tall
 Nor too short
Not to honest
 Not to bad
Friendly
 If after something
Helpful
 If it helps her
Attractive
 Went in need
Backstabbing
 To get ahead
Fawning
 To the powerful
Lying
 When she can
Sharing
 Went she must
Loving
 Of all that is powerful

Premium Member Back Then

At first, he'd meant to make a difference.
But, he lost his ideals making deals-
the back-room,
you-scratch-my-back-I'll-scratch-yours,
backstabbing variety...
Then there was the payback, backlash and push-back.
Now no one recognizes him, back home.

Premium Member Backstabbing and Mudslinging

You were born both innocent and naive, void of memories, your mind was a blank. And your parents taught you what to believe, for all that you are, you have them to thank. The fabric of time, you cannot unweave, nor spit out poisons you already drank. You are the product of your upbringing, exposed to backstabbing and mudslinging.

Politics

Here and there and everywhere
News goes overboard to scare
"You'll lose freedom, yes indeed!"
In your head they'll plant the seed

Here's our new Commander Chief
No! he's a liar, she's a thief!
Give a dollar then you'll see
"A vote for him is leprosy"

For now, we tread another year
Backstabbing, conscious clear
Watch the 'Winner" take the stage
Goodbye hype ...No more rage!

Delilah's Trap

Cunning without doubt
Her ways of doing things -
Innocent seeming, sweet even,
Charming at a glance but really backstabbing.

And foolish him oblivious to the trap she set up,
Not seeing below the surface of her pretty exterior.

Every now and then comes a loser and the loser is him,
Raging at all the chances lost falling for her mirthful guile.

Youthful Samson brought to the ground by Delilah's trickery.
Form: Acrostic

The World Is Artificial

Our world is full of artificiality,
People are of low mentality.
Consoling and sympathy have become extinct
Making use of the one who trusts you the most,
Backstabbing him when he is at frost.

Now a days reality shows are broadcasted,
Where except people, everything is unreal.
Come on people, let’s join our hands,
And scrutinize the scenario.
And try to make atleast ourselves real,
Because it’s a true saying “Change yourself to change others”.

Premium Member I Wish

I wish
We never opened the door
Allowed you to
Disrupt our peace, our home
Many, many years ago

I wish
We never continued to
Speak, and allow you to
Worm your way in, and
Be a part of our family

I wish
The decisions we made
Regarding you
Could be reversed
To remove the obsession
You hold

I wish
Things were different, and we
Never knew you, all of you!
A liar, a faker, a narcissist,
A backstabbing nuisance is
All you were

Adulting

When the control is in your hand,
you should know when to stop and when to use,
no matter what it is: words or weapons.
Otherwise, it will destroy the controller:
like, someone is stabbing the holder's back
by bending the holder's hand.

Like, the truth you had said
thinking the listener is your friend,
but later found that
they were the people
who had defamed you by spreading that.

Are people worth trusting?
Doesn't a knife cause you less pain than treachery?

Katerine

She’s brilliantly nerdy as they say,
But I think she’s overrated still,
When at work she’s a lazy bee,
Who feels remorsefully adamant
about changing company’s policies
on genuinely fake products imported,
At home ,she loves sitting on her
Soft hard sofa sipping soft soda,
Surrounded by friends who are sincerely dishonest,
And are backstabbing gentle fellows.
Yet ,she’s still gracious and kind in her ways,
I supremely condemn this false truthful trait…

Premium Member To Forgive

"To err is human; to forgive, divine" - Alexander Pope

a faux pas
easy enough to understand
deceit and treachery
not so much

backstabbing
shameless betrayal
far beyond comprehension
stirs injury to the core

it is a divine blessing
the best gift to oneself
to find it in one’s heart
to forgive
to let go
and move on
