The poverty
The stigma of poverty is like coal dust.
Cling to us no soap can clean away
We don’t know if we are welcome.
Look into the eyes, do we see aversion?
To sing an unsung song
Aversion is a great thing
into the winter of our lives
Aquarium blue backs my soul
into the L shaped room
drawing me to Gods care
I quietly surrender
if our stillness be acceptant
with ego urges decadent
desire and aversion recede
as our will to God we concede
of each pulsation cognisant

Why do I have an aversion to strings on a banana
Thought to myself while relaxing on my verandah
Kinda weird I'd say
Is it just me feeling this way
Perhaps I should see a psych, well perhaps mañana
both desire and aversion
signal bondage to form
so animating staid stillness
we manifest a bliss storm
objects are burnt to ash
all that remains is the flame
there are no demons to appease
not any tempests to tame
Nothing is so distressing as a sore aching back
Perhaps, a bad cold with a harsh coughing hack
Both can interrupt a long, well-planned excursion
Frankly to both, I have a strong personal aversion.

retracting from crassness
in order to protect our soul
although aversion manifests
we accept detractor’s ordained role

triggered by impulses that blind
more than usual corruptible beasts
clicking rosaries with their claws

gluey friction inbuilt in duality
it's been fun but we're done
or so we imagine
as a subtle desire
mirroring aversion

She preferred her sauces in glass bottles,
The plastic monstrosities she'd like to throttle,
