Tattle Tale
The tattle taler seems so bleak
Until someone knocked out his front teeth

Did he even dare
To send his attacker a black wreath...

Then
the guns
fell
silent

"Is that it?"
"What do we do now?"

"Go home" echoed out
"Nothing to see here, the attacker has been dealt with"
"Keep moving along - it's a crime scene now"...

Snapshot of My Garden
The wild blackbird
had a huge wound
where feathers should be
on his back
was his attacker
a once friendly beak
a bat
or maybe even a cat
the little bird
lay on his chest
splayed out
open to the sun's rays
to heal him.

P.S. My little mate is alive and well frollicking in the leaves....

Incidents With No Precedents
I tag them incidents
With no strict precedents:
A Hater-of-Elephant-Admirer-of-Tusk
A Critic-of-Perfume-User-of-Musk:
An Attacker-of-Night-Walks-Lover-of Dusk
A Consumer of Corn Teaser of Husk
An Enemy of Flour Friend of Rusk …

Also, who nightly tasks handle
But never bothered to near a candle
And A Class of Eaters of Mutton,
For more asking by touching their shirt button....

From Father
What one would at last gather
From listening to father:
Certain things go together;
The valiant and go-getter,
A genius and pace setter,
The heart and a pace maker,
Leather,gums and shoemaker,
An entrance and gatekeeper,
Attacker and goalkeeper...

You just have to be super
To join French Paratrooper,
From head to toe vigorous
To contain The Rigorous...

You don't meet night marauders
Obeying patrol orders:
Never assign mysterious
To the ever boisterous....

An Attack From Behind and Reaction
My head turned like the hands of a clock
But making not at all its tick tock…
I rather was white with singular shock
At collecting from behind a knock
That could have neatly jolted a block
And even embarrassed more solid rock
Perhaps, cold-shivered a wearer of frock;
Or the more reddened the crest of a cock…

A blazing threat to put my attacker in the dock
And thence to a cell with good lock…
Or a fight give him that watchers flock
To both parties heartily cheer or mock....

Came Back
He came back again
Only this time it was during my
sleep
He grabbed me
Forced me
Tried to control me
I screamed but no one heard
He kept trying to touch me
I screamed again
This time my father heard
He pulled out his gun
I ran from the attacker
Only to be chased by him
I reached the door
Opened it and went in
The attacker still behind me
He came in too
Only to face my dad's gun
Then I woke
Frightened
Terrified
Sweating and near the brink of tears
He came back...
