Whenever love ebbs
Happiness too dies
Our soul’s light begs
Since it yearns to rise

Truly, this age is dark
Inner light is veiled
We see not our spark
Being by fears assailed

We yet have a lifeline
Within this dark abyss
Head and heart align
To rekindle God’s bliss...

Destiny Astride
I rode a painful trail,
because not doing so curtailed

Biting hard on Areion’s bit,
all else in life assailed

With blinders on I forged ahead,
whose route my will complied

Its ledges steep, all fear below
—my destiny astride

(Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2019)...

Mountainside
the majestic and
picturesque snow
capped mountains
left me
captivated

the view was
breathtaking
inhaling the
fresh air was
invigorating

the tranquil breeze
skimmed the surface
of my skin
and left me breathless

peace and serenity
assailed my senses...

Poetic Endeavours Are Not Meant To Cure Us. Part 4-The Womb of Creation
Alveoli burst in seething pain
Green bile floods out of lacerations.
Cruciform expletives implode into disaster.
I slice cornea's from my weary eyes.
Scum stained nails rip teeth from jagged mouths.
I stood in the womb of creation and cried.
Assailed on all sides by the blinding dark....

Deposition
Alter ego you
Assailed shall laugh in the end
For refracted light

The mirror unveils
The face, the face unveils the heart
Love unveils the man

Let them twin us wrong
I dance the rhythm not the song
Mirrors feast on light.

Let us love us still
As one, and to one be true
Surrendered in will....

Dante Alighieri
Life is a divine commedy
Rarely is it Paradise
Sometimes it can seem like Purgatory
But mostly it appears to be an Inferno.

I am not yet halfway along my life's path
But I have already abandoned all hope.
Assailed by wild beasts
I wonder......

Will I ever be recognised
As a great man?
Like 'The Supreme Poet'
Shining like a bright star....

Child Labour
that
silken gown

when pressed hard
against the nostrils

one is assailed by
the sweat of child labour

he is just eleven and not in school
when other children are in school

the poor child labours away at the sweatshops
under the watchful eyes of the masters who wield whips

think, the next time you wear that gown, of child labour....

Higher Self I call upon thee

I could have been anything I chose to be here
Cannot remember why, knowledge is dear

For some reason I chose this existence
I have been conquered, I need some assistance

Give me a sign so I may find my trail
Pain I have caused, myself I have assailed

Higher self you are needed, I call upon thee
The existence between us, so I can be me

Other Terrorists
Other terrorists have overtaken,
invaded and captured,

have consolidated, merged

and dispersed.

It's a mess.

Splinter groups
have assailed the other's,
infiltrated, established pockets of
of doubt and confusion.

Conspiracy theorists
claim that we ourselves
are those other terrorists.

Other's counterattack
with long lists of demands
hoping to debunk and distract
from that kind of

terror talk....

Oh! to be youthful and full of zest Those halcyon memories arise When frivolous day needed no rest And mothers did firmly chastise. Boundaries pushed, fun prevailed When days were lived in the sun No thought of tomorrow ever assailed Golden halcyon days were spun. Decades have fled and youth matured Wisdom replaced bygone antics Wheel of life turns generation assured Is life just game of semantics?

Premium Member The Trip
A trembling earth, A backward trip in time. Can this be as it seems? Long gone, those who assailed, who cried give us Barabbas. Perhaps a dream? Where are those who mourned? I ponder now, my wit being at loss, As I behold three rusty nails, Blood stained, on an empty cross. Why was I chosen That this scene I should see? In truth I cannot say. Perhaps but a reminder, Though God loved me then, I'm loved as much today.

Storm's of Memory
i felt the tempest coming
onslaught umbrage
from darkest skies

its thunder rumbled
in endless echoes
across the grains
of mountain's rock

i saw it flash
its arrant light
piercing through
the tips of trees
emanating
crimson trails
upon the ground

i stood
in its pools
of blood
as if assailed
in its draft

its winded breath
piercing through my heart
like wounded love

i saw you there
momentarily
blinking in
and out
of the shadows
of memories...

Oh worthy lama, know God alone is; all else that’s manifest a thought construct. Lower mind delusion, blocks the bliss fizz, thus best if fears and desires self destruct, that we may see God, within body crust. For too long now has light divine been veiled, with soul luminescent in dungeons jailed. Let’s end trauma bonding, by being still, no longer by ego spawned fears assailed, ceasing resisting, as heart’s dark voids fill. 04-January-2022

Becoming Elegant
Bashing and defacing articulate less
when we are proficient to express

As a cygnet being assailed by a heron
we remain quite emotionally barren

We leave our nest never to return to it
aghast if we didn't could might be bit

Pursuing rations in the unknown colossal
hoping to be saved by an alarmed apostle

We'll grow to be a majestic radiant pawn
charge wherein uncharted territory dawn

Astute to achieve amplitude for to appease
while bodies bend to worthy on our knees...
