Desperately Covered With Skin

A cigarette burn hole
with floating memories
crushing the ashy edges.

God, please quit smoking by
the next time you mold me.

Quatrain #90:
MAZE

Mind in a maze that speaks real slow,
Apt as dull daze that comes to show;
Zest dreams of craze in profound plot,
Endless the haze of ashy flow!

Just one more taste.
Just one more hit.
How I miss your smoky, ashy, charred aroma, that taste.
Your smoky, ashy, charred aroma haunts me, begging me to take one hit.
Just one more inhale.
That smoky, ashy, charred aroma, taste of that rebellious girl I once knew.

A vacant mind in blooming garden

Ashy Prinia pair
Flitted across my garden
Catching something here and there

Yellow Portulaca flowers looked brighter
Once they saw this
Ashy Prinia pair

A lone lotus
Swayed as the gentle birds
Flitted across my garden

I wondered how
They stayed happy while
Catching something here and there

Premium Member Angel Lights

You brand me Angel lights,
I dance with your pain
my skin ashy with the dreams;

You gaze upon my weakness
before you turn it to strength,
Each ray burns into me
A very special flame

You'll leave me Angel lights
I feel it in the flight;
Etched in the soul forever

wanting  something endless
Deadly and dangerous,
Obsessed with your pain

Fire

The thick, oppressive smoke blacked out the fall sun...
The smell of my great grandmother's old woodstove
suddenly came to mind...
Flames licked the night sky from the mountainside...
And to my horror, I resigned...
After the fire has devoured all the old trees, and has flickered out of sight...
The barren, ashy face of the hillside will greet me each day and every night...

Hearts Cry

Starless sky
Ashy brown clouds way up high
A moon
The light for my eyes to see

As I walk sad through the night
Soon will be sleep
But my heart cries to stay awake
To fix a heavy chest

Dark blue sky
My only friend tonight
Some memories can't be laid to rest
Only to keep

Silence outside
Just a crickets chirp
A soul as blue and quiet as the night
Wishing for morning to stop my hearts cry

Cold

Outside my window I see morning.
No sun. But soon.

A frosty Gray haze seems to loom
indefinitely, blending the boundaries
of earth and sky
into a canvas of endless cold.

Pale and ashy is the face of coldness,
dull and bitter are the words
on her breath.

The Cold seems to stare back
through the window with such resentment,
that it grips the earth,
taking fistfulls of grass
until Winter is barren.

Breaking the Hyman of a Lonely Heart

no other movement feels like this
no other soothing stroke equals this bliss

there is only one comparison agreeable to me
that is the unconditional loyalty of thee

heal my sanity and lubricate my chassis
humble my vanity and upgrade me from ashy to classy

thank you for giving me a gift of the rarest of forms
for the bond the we created and will strengthen will surely weather even the mightiest of storms....

Premium Member No Rain

In life's harsh drought
Rain feels like a faint memory,
Seasons change quickly
Upheavals hurl

Dry thoughts like cinder
Flames of crackling wood
Burning with fierce heat
Spark consuming spark

Ashes in dry season
Hazy shades floating far
Ashy debris suffocate
Hazy grey mists obscure

Dry months conspire
Tree pyres consuming,
What can we do
From far far away?

Twilight

The corn has ripened.
With it is the wizened laughter of a
Mirthless age, showing ashy teeth
Of dappled cowries.
A flavescence so bantered by the courage
Of wilting bloom!

Sadly, sea waves truss the feet of
Burning skies, loosening the tongues of beaches,
Which, with ague, recline on cold, cringing currents.

Old cats mourn the fall of strafed pillars
Burrowing through silt-buried kennels re-grassed for the
Salutation of new vistas.

Nagasaki

There is strength there is power. “Mommy, look at this lovely flower!”
There is war and there is strife. “C’mon lets go fly a kite!”
There is guns and there is knives. “Look at my kite rise and rise!” There are warlords there are tyrants. “Hey Jo, can you hold the call on those Clients?” There are Officers and there are sergeants. “This silver is of the finest argent!” There is my skin, burnt ashy and gray. “But daddy, Are you coming home to stay?”

Self Made Cholesterol and the Obviously Resulting Blockage

too often i have ignored all that is right
which has caused me to miss out on my true and actual plight

alone i am now and one with webs and the dust
chapped and ashy i have become well on my way to rust

my mother once told me to loosen the noose of my shield
to late now do i see the world and the decorative grounds and fields

now i am an insomniac driven by a wayfaring loner's rage
i only have myself to blame for the rapidity in which i now age....

Premium Member The Pauper's Moon

His destiny concrete
Mystic tranquility a stillness of the night's
Tranquil moon.
Heaven's nature casts
A spell in June.
Solitude amuses a Vacant lot.
a lone pauper sings
Tones of grievous moans.
Forget me not forget me not
The solo croons
The tunes float on the lonesome
Moonlight stabbing at the heart
Of the ashy night
The empty glow testing each
Mournful note
Steady and slow rhythm
Line by line
Rhyme and rhyme
Chime in kind
Moon and shine

The Scenic Route To Hell

I know I'm going to hell
for eating this forbidden fruit
but before I say my farewell
let me leave taking the scenic route

I want to see the ashy trees
and the hell birds flying by
the crimson lava filled seas
with the stench of death's tide

I got to death's black doors
as a man of Haiti let me in
the mighty Cerberus roared
while I was burned for every sin

And here I stand flaming hot
in a place with no love
my soul lay here to rot
with a demon named Beelzebub

~mystically Sick~

imma microphone killa gorilla, ballistic

you can try to come and get with me but only if your mystic

i work with grand wizards, lyrical lizards

we slithers into your body mind n soul

we puff bowls as we spew coals

hot no ashy words, catcha with a hip-hop curse

i spit one sick verse n you come down with the flu

its like h1n1 lyrical sick son

don't wanna mess with none, ill leave you dead from the barrel of my tongue
