the batteries in
my camera fast
to lose energy
yet, a beautiful day
to explore artful inspirations
very cold morning
are artful,
fluffy,
homemade treats
that tantalize when I am hungry--
and always leave me ravenous
for truth.

I knew of a man named Roger
He was my neighbour's lodger
I heard he was leaving
He was caught thieving
Just like the Artful Dodger
AUTUMNAL BLISS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
autumn's winds, a playful caress
dissonant wind chimes dance in artful bliss
Winter Watch
lonely fence post shudders in glittering
shroud beneath an artful gaze...
dueling owl and mouse
Graffiti is an artful display of expressive imagination by a confused but creative mind, made especially to speak rashly for the voiceless.
Whirling round, this artful brush
In unseen lavish billows
Nicely forming evenings blush
Dreams spun of rose white pillows
Memorable every day and night
Exceedingly, teasingly bright!
Girded with kaleidoscopic light
Artful in words and forever kind
Never gone from my sight!
Delightfully gripping
Dread combines with artful
Dismay, infused with fine
Direction to tickle
Discerning thoughts. Never
Disappointing with good
Devil in the detail
Trees crowded nude
Take bows on colored carpets
Autumn shown and shed
(This sat for a while with too many syllables
Haiku is an artful task
Like wine better aged)
practices artful .... falsehood
Astounding high fliers
Ace gliders and divers
Artful, very skillful
Amazing large wing spans
Ashore only to breed
Awesome and majestic
A great bird of the sea.
i'm behind you
so i can see you
'cuz mine
all uv it
love you
or
need you
In unknown signs
Odd words unheard
Now ply old chimes
As artful bird
See if you hear
How echoes hint
To each my dear
As flavours mint
frost grows on the pane
creating a most artful shade
Yesterday I swear I saw Charles Dickens
His quaint style today would take a lickin' --
So he's changed up the Dodger
Now he's the 'Artful Todger' --
He whips it out ~ the plot really thickens
The drum roll
beats out control
in a game
of warped reframe.
On a coiling balustrade
plays meister masquerade
to craft the will
at bellowed drill.
Docile rule
disarms to fool.
With artful ruse
the vapid lose.
I’m a poet.
An original or a mimic. The canvas can decide.
In papers that see faces other than mine,
they’re vague copies of artful work.
In all else, they’re threads holding my sanity,
Saving me a crisis, every once in a while.
A.I have come to see
That artifacts and artful fiction
Are indeed, a reality
IT is as easy as A, B, and C
and as simple as 1, 2 and 3
SO a test I suggest
must come to be...
"... God gave us choice..."
and then ;Data... called Eternity
fiddling with a magnanimous tootling - no tutelage needed
anonymity of the artful dodger - blaming innocent bystander
widespread whisper and stare, waving away any hospitality
scent swept under the rug - stinker with a wink and a toodle loo
Wild, uncollected bouquets
Nature's artful, abundant glee
Beauteous grass-grown golden rays
Wild, uncollected bouquets
In perfumed, iris-purple haze
A kiss of green in white daisies
Wild, uncollected bouquets
Nature's artful, abundant glee.
Crookedly cunning,
Hurtful and sly;
Always a liar:
Risky to buy.
Lacking integrity,
And a willingness to try:
This true chameleon,
An artful scallion;
Not likely to change,until he die.
Diviner of Pain
Tell me, artful diviner of pain,
I know so well your grim refrain
Your ugly mask, your sneering scowl
Your twisted knife, your jeering howl...
A deceiver with a poisoned dart
Why do you sit so easily
Upon my heart?
In days of old
Those poets bold
Would peek at
A thesaurus
When slyly shamed
Sadly exclaimed
They did it so the words
Won’t bore us
And yet it seems
The best of schemes
Is viewed by some
As witchery
Yet those who do
Are tired too
Of listening to
Such .itchery
