I wish
I wish I could tear down that armoured wall that you've built,
so I can try to repair,
the gaping hole in your heart.

A Helmand Soldier
Here I am
In Afghanistan
To protect the people from the Taliban
But
The Imam
Laughs at me
Says
Stupid man
This
Is your Vietnam
You’ve been here now
Near 10 Ramadans
And
Still you cower
In your armoured vans...

Here I Stand
Do you see me standing there
Looking like I do care
But it’s a mask you see
Of what I want to be

But you won’t see who I am
And the chink in my armoured plan
So here I stand so very proud
Only showing what will be allowed.

Traffic Jam
The worm goes on
and on
and on

An endless stream of armoured segments
crawling out off the working day

The frozen flow of restless homonunculi
Disharmony of spheres

To Meet Her
Once a girl met a boy,
She lived in a far off place,
He borrowed wings each night,
So he could pay her a visit,
They were shielded by shadows,
This man was her liberty and god,
He was the stillness of morning water
He broke through her armoured wall,
And rose to her met her winds....

Samuel Rosenstock
someone rapped on the window
in the evening
it was a star and it was bleeding
and it brough some strange parcel
with a note:
"Mandrake and an armoured elephant, for You."
 - Samuel Rosenstock
after which there were fireworks in the bedroom
and that’s how the dreams are born, if I’m right....

Chariots
Chariots

Battlefield dawn,
Mortals rise high,
Chariots sigh,
Sound of bugle,

Bows shoot arrows,
And swords rattle,
Armoured mettle,
Red soil of dusk !

Defeat
DEFEAT

Out of the waves they come.
Helmeted army of crabs
Trundle over the perfect pools
Of starfish and periwinkle,
Murking up the sandy bottom
Of their foxholes,
Armoured claws testing each mollusk for food,
Sidling up to my toes
In marauding hunger.
I retreat inland,
Allowing them their beachhead....

Tommy Run
How the hell did I end up here?
Under enemy fire and paralysed by fear
I remember the day our factory closed
And the fatcat owner escaped in his Rolls
Now I'm the one sweating in an armoured tank
Chased by an enemy without uniform and rank
Is this really worth my 16 grand a year?
How I long to get out of here...

Shells
Encaged in eggshells,
Mother bird covers, sends warmth,
New life comes to world !

Life encased in shells,
Armoured subtle beings ,
Frail alluring sail !

Flashing demure smile,
Yielded with coy submission,
Come out of your shell !

Peace Keepers
clad in black berets and boots
all camouflaged with heavy guns
their armoured jeeps in Indian file
like obedient dogs they march along

faces pale from the burning sun
peasants tender, weak and poor
gaze helpless at the peacekeepers:
what begets this act of war?

give them a chance to make their bread
lend them a voice to sing their song
show them love, let them dream
that’s how peacekeeping is done!...

The Last Hour
In the last hour,
Of the final day,
That we all do face,
I'll look forward to reunion with
All those who proceeded me,
Such a smile I will wear!
The warmth of love than reunited
With those who made my life rich,
Beyond words can describe
That made life so precious
Though there are those here I may miss
I will watch over them,
A fierce Guardian Angel...
Manning the turrets of life
Armoured with love....

The Princess' Sky
''Let their beaks be bolted
Till all breath their last''
Says Lord Gaga of our sky.
So when we eye a chick below
And perch on it recoveringly
To pet the wolves in our guts
Behold their crescendo:
Die,die,die ...
But Goodloot resides at other sky
Where with harps and hymns
Eagles lift lions like acorns.
So we shall ''do the needful''
Fly no more here but there
For there is the Princess' sky
Where eagles eat Everest
In deutsch built armoured cars....

A troop matching,
climbing the cliffs ready in arms,
Guns in gaunt and bayonets fixed.
armoured tanks in rows.
Arrows and terrors like darts,
enraged for the kill.
is this a war?
Yes,
Life a battlefield,
from cradle to the grave a warfare sealed.
to resign to fate, without a fight?
Never,
with tremendous Cheer,
at once to arm.
The sword and the spirit in continuous combat,
only the quickened can see,
through lenses once dead,
now revived....

Bodies Litter Bama Town
Like wrappers on a carnival street,
So bodies litter Bama Town;
As time deflates these body balloons,
Flies gyrate in their flowing fluid.

Above them wafting their flag
That shred them like potato chips
And mindful of why? And why?
‘‘Infidel must die’’, they post.

Then comes afar a zombie voice,
A retreat voice from Cameroon:
''Blame us not mother land;
If only we had airport armoured cars.''

Seek not Bama in map tomorrow,
Vorbei ist vorbei,gone is Babylon....
