The Capitol attack
And what it made me understand
Is there’s no going back.
For though there always have been lies
In government, I saw
That there are many people who
Think they’re above the law.
And going forward, I’m afraid
That things will get much worse,
For anarchists have now have years
To gather and rehearse.
The lies of January 6th,
Which many still believe,
Are reinforced by those who yearn
To damage and deceive.
