Premium Member Thankful For the Stories of Our Lives
May we be blessed to acknowledge all the wonders in our life
that have, for us, thus far accrued…
and to begin each day with a word of thanks…
and thoughts of gratitude.

Today I’m thankful for the story of our lives…
the one each day we are amending…
with the hope that each and every chapter we complete
will have a happy ending....

Premium Member Hope
Sometimes while teetering on the edge of despair
A wounded heart embraces a life-altering moment,
Welcomes change into the tattered life, amending
The future in ways before not readily apparent;
Taking the torn-apart soul and making it new,
Not even realizing the change until years pass.
Sometimes, never wanting to acknowledge hope
Appears near the bottom of the treacherous abyss.

Red Love
the candle flicking forward
fencing the shadows
its like angelic moonlight
cocooned to its impassioned heat
expanding to surpass its limits
till the slow darkness resumes
autum's colors through the flame
as I submerge to a endless fall
visioning the psych of the flare's breath
welcoming me as it burns from hatred
the heat alight from amending nurturing
never to release the satisfaction
the emotions one never receives.....

Standing Corrected
When a person speaks in error
With a slip you have detected,
You’re often better staying mum
To keep yourself protected.

For setting someone straight
Is often not what is expected,
And there are those who might just feel
A little disrespected.

So next time some amending
To another soul’s directed,
You might prefer to stop before
Your remedy’s rejected.

Not many can quite graciously
Admit, when they’ve reflected,
That maybe they’ve misspoken and
Will therefore stand corrected....

Premium Member Amend the Amendment
I propose amending
the U.S. Second Amendment.

The right to own and transport and fire arms
shall be constrained
to include only those who demonstrate sufficient mental health
to have no desire to own and transport and fire ballistic arms,
because they are bad for Earth's environment,
and not so great for assured mutual health and safety.

Hunters
with sufficient mental health
prefer bows and arrows
and fishing poles,
and possibly javelins,
or maybe even boomerangs....
