Leather jacket cloaked
upon shoulders worldly wise
together they lay
within the Pacific floor.
New Year gift to keep her dry.

She was known as Amelia Airho
Air hostess premier on the go
Many men she took to bed
And not one of them she wed
She had a lot of fun, don’t you know

(In Memory Of The late Amelia Earhart)
To her Dreams, she held on
tight
Never turning back or giving
up the fight
How she soared the blue skies
with all of her might
Through all kinds of weatherm Day
and Night
Until, she came to disappear, from
sight
Let's Hope to God, that She "saw the
Light"

Amelia
Amelia is my daughter.
Merrily plans and lives her life.
Excellent at everything she does.
Loves her family and shows it.
Intelligent, very intelligent
An awesome person…

Let's dream up a fuzzy alias for CV-19
How about 'Peter Pandemic'
Amelia Bedelia-Bednemic'
or 'Ronald McDonal-demic'
Not so fuzzy-wuzzy, eh
Let's try another way --
Maybe 'Over-Polarized Systemic'
C'mon. What do you say...
Hmm. I see you don't appreciate any of these
Oh, well ~ My appellations don't grow on trees

Light Verse
Angela and Angelica,
I'm not a silica,
I'm not Amelia,
I'm more like hydrilla,
Moving with the water current,
I love my husband,
He is my fashion idol,
Is there too much to ask,
No, I rather be with him from dawn to dusk,
He is the boy I admire,
He is not what I desire,
But on what I require,
He is on the Esquire,
A requited love is what I desire.

Amelia Romero NM
a daughter
When I look back
I relive petty torments
The way you teased me
The way I displeased you
The scars I needn’t show
With nowhere else to go
Avoided you miserably
Your need for turbulence
had held me hostage
Your drama
Day by day
Flashes of you
Only glimpses of possibility
Vows of a better life
When I look back

Cottage garden growing fast
Heavy work is gonna last
Plant the flowers, dig the dirt
'Till the backs are feeling hurt
Let's attract the butterflies
Them and birds are on fly-byes
Rabbits, deer with the fawn
More like heaven than the lawn
Quiet house amid woods
Love and peace are main goods
Friendly spirit, warmth aglow
Flower garden let it grow

Rhyme
Crimson leaves drift to the ground
On autumn’s breeze
Floating aimlessly as my thoughts. . .
Destined to be surrounded
Layer upon layer;
Each leaf having unique
Yet similar substance.
In their fall to await Death,
Their beauty has never been
Quite as lovely
Nor their colors nearly as vivid;
Returning to eventual mulch,
Nourishment for a new beginning,
Only hinting they are renewing life
With a whisper of the wind.

Free verse
Asleep at two with curling wisps
around your precious face
Brow furrowed in concentration
of your dream playing out within
Then the lashes part revealing eyes
A startling tourmaline blue
Eyes that look into a horizon
masked in thinning fog
What do you see little seafarer
through eyes that change with the light
Inner illuminated with a fire burning ever so bright
Come home, come home, come home to me
The source of ignition calls remember me
As I have never forgotten you
