He left me
long ago
I couldn't let him
go
I wasn't ready
I made him stop
his body stayed
but he did not.
Jessica
Let me go, set me free
For i can no longer bear the torment
Of moments past, such memories
Yearnings of old, too ancient
My Anniversary Today, August 17
Married forty-one years ago today…
the unspoken poem therein
writes itself…
Long ago the roses bloomed
In briars brown and Smokey gray
Now the buds have slowly swooned
Downtrodden brambles in their wake
Must've been daylight savings time
For a hour ago
You loved me
You liked me
You used me
An hour ago you wasted my time
Some
empty
places at
the table now:
sore reminders of good times together.
written 25 November for Constance's Christmas contest
Long, Long Ago
Was long, long ago
Custom presume is pagan
Habits that they had.
Watching TV Series on Stonehenge
now.
Jim Horn
Seems like long ago
Things were different
Unnoticed we let them slip away
Victim of loneliness, we strayed
How could we let it happen?
Chicago is blowing around
And Oprah has not made a sound
Hefner is dead
So Gershon said,
"Guess what? Your face mask has been found!"
Oh, I remember
Cards on spikes
On the bikes we rode

Form:
In the long, the long ago.
A creature crawled from 'neath the mire,
And centuries and centuries hence,
You see him in York Minster's spire.
Oh what a time.
I could spend on a dime.
Everything wine and cherry time.
Deep fellow of mine.
Oh it feels like a crime.
Here is Ten Dimes.
I cared for you
But your betrayal
Left me hurt, as for me
Now and forever
You’re in my past
Never to be renewed

He read a poem
I wrote yesterday
and told me it was great
So I liked him
He read a poem
I wrote a year ago
and told me it was awful
So I loved him
Long ago and far away, it seems
We laughed and sang and played in dreams
Now glued fast to noise and news
We traverse a world of electronic hues
I fell flat on my heart
It was scraped on the outside,
and crushed on the inside;
However, neither did I lose
any part of it
nor any blood,
But my spirit;
A long-ago
Memory
Is an appearance
Arising for no
Separate one..
No time or space
A memory
Appearing anyway
In seeming time
And space...
Long ago in the British empire,
Lived extremely gentle vampire.
He, before lay in a coffin,
Loved to drink cup of coffee
And sing songs with guitar by campfire.
Two weeks ago I could stroll
along the riverside happy smiling in peace
Where’d it go?
And can the Timbuktu of tomorrow really
be closer than my home of yesterday?
i remember
how the earth
forgot to be real
that early October morning
i remember
when it stopped turning
on a false summer
January day
by Janetta (1986)
Life was easier years ago.
In term of health and money so.
Yet, I think we are very wise.
Old songs are very beautiful.
Of activities we were full.
Is it or otherwise?
While most view T-Rex as extinct
To a romping reptile Don's linked!
Their shared DNA
Lets the T-Rump say:
We’ll stampede with orders I’ve inked
Lost freedom no more Byron
free speaking but felt in iron
Then we said what we thought
now we just say what we ought
Let us sit down now on the carpet and talk of sad stories
Ago Short Time Wrote a Rhyme
While ago which was a short time,
About Trump had written a rhyme;
Strange and odd;
Thinks is God,
And did decide to expand his prime.
Jim Horn
Quite A While Ago
This poem was written long time ago,
And being that I always write so slow;
Lead poet's life,
With no strife;
So found them in sleep when I will go.
