Premium Member Seventy Seven Rotations Around the Sun

Seventy seven rotations round the sun
seventy seven rotations round the sun
Early days were filled with anguish
but now each day is always filled with fun

Seventy seven rotations round the sun
seventy seven rotation round the sun
life is full of learning oh what a blast
fulfil each day with joy, focus on the present
Just accept what has occurred
we cannot change the past

Seventy seven rotations round the sun yee hah
seventy seven rotations round the sun woo hoo
and there's so many many more
of rotations to add to the existing score

Seventy seven rotations round the sun I'm on a high
seventy seven rotations round the sun
The infinite potential as far as the endless blue sky

Knowing that you changed me
was the biggest crisis of all.

Seventy-Seven

Seventy-Seven

The faster you go
The rounder you get
And time flies on by
On the wings of a jet
The birthdays pile up
Like old dreams on the table
I’ll check em’ all out just
As soon as I’m able
It’s fun to reflect on
things back in the day
When I was much younger
And devoted to play
I dream about folks
Both bubbas and sistahs
With hair now tinged silver
For misses and misters
And their still in my life
After all of these years
They hang with me always
Through fun times and tears
So I’ll celebrate, no matter the age
I’ll look forward to living
And turning the page...

Seventy Seven

Three score and ten
years have gone by.
Where did they go?
Where did they fly?

Old friends are fewer.
New friends are more.
Not counting.
I no longer score.

Seven years later
2 brothers are dead
Posterety has doubled
Are we getting aheqd?

77 Feels Like,
Going From Fine China
To Styrofoam Cups and Paper Plates;

The gourmet meals, life formerly volunteered,
Have vanished from the menu, leaving unexhausted items
I’m found without appetency for.

Seventeen Seventy-Seven: a Pondering of Sorts

This self evident truth that all men are created equal ?
Never quite able as to escape these questions which arrive
Time's comical in ludicrous exposes: today as yesterday imagining
Her high courts turning unto a constitution defining something or another....
Ever evolving his living breathing documents cross fire spatial skies skeleton keys rogue
Renegades watermark tinsel town, treason from their graves these founding fathers proclaim
Antartic circles western worlds mediums her causeway's english channel I see dead people a baby's
Sixth sense the headless horseman thirty shekels of silver his broken bell premonition sheol's starveling
Shepherd spyglass mechants totem pole slave ship shackles spindrift spinsters who framed this, your amendments.

Seven Times Seventy Seven

“Seven Times seventy Seven”
Locked inside a room behind a wooden door;
A young man is imprisoned there; who will be free no more.
   You can often hear him screaming; behind the walls so thick;
   And you may often hear the clicking, as at the lock he picks.
He’s young and quite ill tempered; wearing vengeance like a badge;
You can hear him yelling let me out; I can handle this he brags.
    It’s true when he was leader; very few would cross his path;
    But the other one who’s part of him; is offended by his wrath.
So the thinker takes his chances; he’s prepared to mend his wounds;
After all he has imprisoned; he who could bring doom..
    He gives no weight to retributions; for he walks a narrow road;
    He must not be distracted; for his life is to be showed.
