Seventy-Seven

Seventy-Seven

The faster you go
The rounder you get
And time flies on by
On the wings of a jet
The birthdays pile up
Like old dreams on the table
I’ll check em’ all out just
As soon as I’m able
It’s fun to reflect on
things back in the day
When I was much younger
And devoted to play
I dream about folks
Both bubbas and sistahs
With hair now tinged silver
For misses and misters
And their still in my life
After all of these years
They hang with me always
Through fun times and tears
So I’ll celebrate, no matter the age
I’ll look forward to living
And turning the page...
