Sermonizing Poems | Examples

Augusts turn

I saw you
tip toe through the change
Unflatteringly and seamlessly
You turned from Summer to August
The forebode was bothered
I was sleeveless until you found me
That Tempest wind
with its own perilous sermonizing

The dull fruits were harbingers
from another's basket
Clumps of tenderized grass
ebbing in its lost impress
You scoffed at me
whilst I unwelcomed you
Ill affording me
in the ruffled cross hairs
of spite

Truisms

There are words
sermonizing unto others
yet silence can tell no lies

Outside some unknown soul taps
at the Window
The wind swirls
at a given time
Mother nature is perplexed

The corridor will led us to a cul de sac
where the silence
plies its own truth
where shadows darken,
merging with the night

Premium MemberThank You Nurse Linda

Linda, you gave me the confidence to be myself without apologizing.
Your kindness was most appreciated, especially without sermonizing.
You took care of my medical needs, and also my spiritual needs.
Your empathetic caring and kindnesses uplifted my depressed seeds.

I had never had a torn meniscus and a torn ACL before that day.
I was in shock, and hurt in every direction, every which way.
Your smiling presence and gentle ways helped me tolerate and stay.
In a hospital which actually made me feel quite sad and gray.

I did not appreciate you as much as I should have, I later found out.
On my third day there, I was given a different nurse, one with a snout.
She breathed too deeply her bumping-into-me stomach stuck way out.
Her manner irritated me greatly and made me want to shout and pout.

When you came back Monday, I wanted to give you a hug and a kiss.
I wanted to tell you how horrible was that other nurse, Little Miss Miss.
But when you told me she was your cousin, I was glad I did not do it.
But I am grateful for you my friend; your care helped me pull through it!

The Letter

This is letter, an autumnal leaf from the abode heart
There are many alphabets, many words, many sentences
There are immense desire, fragrant emotions
There are dyed intoxicated soul, delightful idol of you
Everything there are sermonizing the speech of you
This your are none but the soul, my soul of love

But sometimes I lose this highlighted letter
I see myself being idolized in the very distant past
Again sometimes see I’m the sound of supreme being
That's why
In this wordy statements,
In this actionable confessions,
in this realistic presence
I can't find myself

Cause- there is you
This your are none but the soul, my soul of love

Yes, sometimes where I feel
Love is eternal young,
ever powerful
when it lives in control

there another time same I feel
Love is savage, heartless killer
when can't control it

oh! What a terrible power of love has
when it crosses its limitation then it kills all

In fear of being killed
In one winter morning
In the foggy grave
with the tears of falling dreams
The lifeless spirit lives as a corpse
On the letter which cut into pieces

Withering Warning

clumsy coal complaining
smothered syllables scrunching
dripping damped draws
feigning fostered flaw
hoisted hood hankering
contracted callous smithereens

on fallible fate
was remonstration raised
taunted tactically trace

daedal diamond sermonizing;
"Dear, make sprees
stanced like fig

etch felon fear
then trade tiers."

Life

Deep into that darkness learning
Life is for everyone
The incentive seemed happy spurning
Everyone is for life
I crave the unswayed, unimpressed upbringing
My aliveness, I could not awaken
Life is for everyone
Everyone is for life
And the agelessness never debating

Life

I remember I was acquiescing, remembering
I crave the instructional, inviting impermanence, temporary
Ah, distinctly I was condoning, remembering
But in the fact that it was dripping, temporary
It was slipping, ripping, gripping!
Reneging and reneging with my virtuousness
Nowness - nowness - nowness!

That moment my soul grew lonely
Life is for everyone
The abandoned auteurism acquiring
Back into my memories moralizing
All my soul within me inspiring
Life is for everyone
The sleepless school sermonizing
Everyone is for life
Life is for everyone, life

Many Poem Possibilities

Many Poem Possibilities

In my mind are always poem possibilities;
To write each one God gave me the ability;
Will often use;
Never abuse,
And in them you will surely find sensibility.

Terrible unbearable parable
Opposition, condition, ammunition
Contemplation, compensation, creation
Involved, dissolved, revolved
Prepared, shared, compared and dared
Disguise, realize, stabilize
Exonerate, Humiliate, contemplate
Inundated, infuriated, stated
Hesitant, resistant, persistent, consistent
Vindicated, extrapolated, eradicated, vacated
Serenity, proximity, anonymity
Realizing, tantalizing, sermonizing, aggrandizing
Orevaricate, eradicate, emancipate
Cration of a variation from any situation
Regulate, strangulate, gestated
Promulgate, placate, indicate
Substantiate, instigate, expedite, premeditate

Mort to consider.

Be More Pleasing

I was selfish and had to horde the Lord;

Because He was all that I could afford

Poems from Him started to write each day

For perfect relation with him paved the way.

But after a while too I must have to be realizing

Results of much of my speech is sermonizing

And I have become an Episcopalian researcher

Our priest is a Catholic and catalytic converter.

Hope some of you understand what I am saying

By, all games have rules you must be playing

Even tough at times Priest I am often teasing

I could bend myself over and be more pleasing.

Sound familiar?

Not Realizing We Were Obamanizing

Not Realizing We Were Obamanizing

Not realizing
We were Obamanizing
Was quire surprising.

Some are disguising
Things they are sermonizing
Need new horizon.

Revitalizing
While riding on big bison
Had John been his son.
(Simple Simon)

Selectivity
May result from brevity
But an entity?

Sure was consistant
They all had been resistant
Not knowing what we meant.

Which political candidate could
any of this be referring to?

Premium MemberA Futuristic Christmas: 2025

Christmas years ahead...
holograms that come alive
standing in our midst;
Santa, reindeer, Christmas trees
come and go with just a switch.

No more shopping malls...
All gifts picked and bought online
delivered by drones,
that fly 'round the world in hours;
pickup for returns from homes.

Church will come to us...
household interactive scenes
take us to new realms.
With high-tech sermonizing,
spirit of peace overwhelms.

Dinner feast at home
or floating restaurants high
that hover above,
as winter-white scenery
fills our hearts with joy and love.

Yes, there will be snow.
By then we will have command
of our weather flow.
It will fall on Christmas Eve,
just enough to make it glow.

No religious wars.
Mankind by then will settle
spiritual freedom;
to each his own in worship.
So our Christmas Eve will come.

Christmas years ahead...
how will it compare to now?
Difficult to know.
Humans adjust to changes;
compare now to long ago.

Love and Enjoy

Love and Enjoy

Suggest that segregation should never be
Along with what now is moral ambiguity
Equality in our minds must only exist
Offer seats to older we can never resist.

We will all be going to the same schools
Play together and swim in public pools
And moving over when talking in sleep
Won't say anything back or raise a peep.

May be more words to poem I have to add
So whole blooming thing won't sound so bad
And perfect me would I personally have lied
If I said all my poems need to be personified.

Let us middle and highers learn how to integrate
And on people's pleasant suggestions try to wait
Put off what we really wanted to have done
When there are many other ways we can have fun.

Even after high in heaven we have ended up at
Whenever we want with God together have sat
If audacious adult, sweet little girl or a bad boy
All He has in heaven if for us to love and enjoy.

PS. So rather then forever hearing me sermonizing
All of you should be singing and also harmonizing.

Beyond Compare

Beyond Compare by James Thomas Horn

Entire church choir may moan and groan if left alone
But beautiful Lisa sings in a league of her own
Beyond belief sounds she starts to emit
Meant in flow of music to perfectly fit.

Marg's magical hands make miracles when she plays
While people there will give God praise
With her marvelous music we sing along
Joy and much merriment are in each song.

So what can happen if you should survive?
Putting up with people on Saturday Night Live
So Sunday Morning service can start to hear
While we hope our worries will disappear.

What is it which should seem so surprising?
Sun started rising and you heard sermonizing;
Even though things in life may be hard to bare
Father Dave's sermons are above and beyond compare.

No matter how far away we are
Will see God in each shining star
With message meant for you and me
From sins finally will be set free.

James Thomas Horn
Retired Veteran

In Conclusion:

No matter how far away some people are
They shall see God in each shining star
With message meant for you and me
From all sins we will be set free.

Portrait of An Addict

From tottering infantile footsteps
Gangly adolescence and vibrant youth
Desire to taste forbidden fruits
Hobnob with society discards

Ever beckoned by distant drums
Weird people practising witchcraft
Entranced by strange rituals
Rebelling against established norms

Corrupted by wild flights of fantasy
Urge to attain impossible dreams
Sermonizing on unknown subjects
Engaged in creating hell on earth

Shunning filial ties
Ignorant of the anguish of loved ones
Reviled by all but the ignorant
And pitied by a few

Unwashed, malodorous, skeletal frame
Vacant eyes a fiery red
Registering no events, recognizing none
A pitiable mannequin in a dynamic world

Ever shrouded in a haze of acrid smoke
From endless cannabis trips
Unhinged from his roots
With no conclusion or hope
