Denial's so bittersweet

Puppet, dolly,toy
Stringed and tied marionette
I’m not part of this

FORGIVE ME

Forgive the man I am today,
Why won’t the past just go away?
The child inside still bears the weight
Of pain that slowly turned to hate.

Forgive the walls I still hold high,
The silent tears, the hollow lie.
The angry words, the pride, the shame,
The countless times I placed the blame.

I cannot change one yesterday,
Or wish the darkest nights away.
Every morning brings another fight
Between my darkness and my light.

Please, dear God, show me the way.
One broken step past yesterday.
Some days I stand. Some days I fall.
Some days the darkness still takes it all.

So judge me not by where I’ve been,
But by the fight I have within.
I wish this story would just end…
Instead, tomorrow starts again.

Dear Fear

Dear Fear,
I remember the first time you were here.
First day of my new school, my grandma warned me…,
It’s a bad world, my girl, that won’t like you to be free.
Remember these words, they will protect you for life.
I thought she was shielding me,
but she was just preparing me to be someone’s wife.
Dear Fear, I see you’ve been fooling me since then,
keeping me from raising my voice,
scaring me with terrible whispers, again and again.
You had my grandma’s face ,
but there was something off with your voice.
I noticed...
but I was conditioned that way. I had no choice.
But things are different now, you see,
I’ve decided to be the real me.
Things were much better when you weren’t here.
Dear Fear, it’s clear...
you are not welcome anywhere near.
I’m not going to pass you on to the next generation,
Give me back the reins you placed on my imagination.
Dear Fear, you’ve done enough,
You’ve never been a friend,
So I’m writing this letter to inform you...
for you, THIS IS THE END.

Huge and Ugly

Each passing day I'm turning hugern huger
I look ugly n feel sicker n sicker
I dont gorge down huge helping
Nor too many colas I'm gulping
The only culprit must be sitting with kids and snaking
This is onething that gives my weight a backing
Ive been to Endocronologist to help
They give few pills n say selfhelp is the best help
I scroll through the computer looking for a new diet
For woth this much weight can't sit quiet
One after the other I keep following
With iota of difference showing
The main culprit is my thyroid reading
Its brought huge change in behaviour n appearance
As most reduction plans are foiled I've lost all endurance.
