                                           Mystery of Pumpkin

One upon a time, not far back,
Grew in my small backyard garden
A pumpkin, size of a tortoise,
A monster, with weight of a ton
                              And had to be chopped with an axe;

Friends wished to have its seeds to plant,
                                   Alas, it was a seedless male;

News spread fast in the neighbourhood
                                       Leading to police enquiry
                                      For concealing information,
                                         But after investigation
Turned out to be a mystery.

Premium MemberAlgebra

Whilst algebra for many is so poorly understood
At school I put the effort in and I became quite good
Three apples being equal to a carrot and two pears
Was obvious, for camels are a donkey and two hares

A bicycle without a wheel was equal to a boat
But take away an apple and you’ve got a mountain goat
Though if you multiply an orange by a seedless grape
The answer’s twenty six and a recurring hairy ape

Who knew that one banana added to a coconut
Might equate to seven minus half a water butt
But, hey, I passed exams that say I’m clever as can be
Two peaches plus an aubergine will not befuddle me

The usefulness of algebra is difficult to see
Unless you need to prove six plums are very nearly three
But what I learnt of algebra I never did forget
Though now I’m ninety seven… and I haven’t used it yet

Premium MemberMULTI-HUED DAMSEL IN THE BEAUTY OF HER WETNESS

Out of the womb of seedless water came her birth,
And no less than always has been her silent beauty;
Radiant essence, crowning the earth’s heavenly throne:-

She’s a special reflective bouquet of God’s creativity;
Mothering sun smoothing each of her rays into its chosen place
As her regal dome challenges the matter of her crowning magnanimity:-

Her celestial realm is a royal domain established by her creator;
Her celestial curvaceous tinted arch has forever excited the mind’s
Voracious appetite for things whose worth and beauty rivals gold’s own:-

Yes, from time immemorial, humanity has had the privileged
Of her celestial beauty and teeming glow; yet, humanity,
Has never been able to control God’s teasing rainbow:-

Premium MemberHaiku Song

Haiku songs sounds like blues
Splashing in a muddy pool
White rain with no umbrella
Knowing Mother Nature is clever
Gracing animals with furry coat
Except for man woman you know
Howling at the moon on the hill
Like a cherry on top windowsill
Song of somber seedless fruit
Of barren darkness empty womb
Song of love sad and lonely
Missing dove one and only
Tree that stood bent by time
Not all green good not all kind
Lamenting mahogany broken mind
Descendants talking about teal crimes

Premium MemberBasel

I am walking around Basel
The city not the herb
I’m not doing a Basel
Because Basel is not a verb

The streets spew tongue twisters
From mouths of many shapes
Beautiful river vistas
With succulent seedless grapes.

In a few hours I wish to emigrate
Set up my life in this efficient city
After a while I understand
It’s not that good, it’s a pity

I’m leaving this multi-lingual haven
Flying to a single language home
knowing the food in the railway station
will satisfy the fussiest gastronome.

The Screecher of the Cemetery

The screecher of the cemetery:
You fly in between the headstones
And hide away in the bell tower
When the dawn comes.
You know the names of all who are dead—
At night, you call to them softly,
And seek out new arrivals for you to bless.
Out of your own sacrifice, you leave them gifts:
A pine cone or a dandelion or two—
A little something for good luck.
The next day, when you return,
All that will be left will be the seedless stalk
Of the dandelion you gave away.

Premium MemberThe Empty Room

Monsoon mornings are like a seedless vase filled with paralyzed petals.
I sit reminiscing, the fleeting frequencies of his ancient clock,
now cloaked in coal cobwebs composing skeletal memories;
a timeless token of unblemished innocence,
when tiny fingers, tattooed with henna butterflies,
awaited the dawning strings of golden kites.

I ponder if shadows of the moving moon still caress chiffon curtains, forming a crescent spoon,
resembling five marbles of childhood that played hide and seek,
to his virtuous voice echoing down hollow hallways~
homing a trail of tender heartbeats from the swings he made for us…
For the empty room of a wise man is never soulless.
It shelters fearless footprints of futuristic art, painted with patience,
when fairies of twilight forget the lyrics of starry lullabies.

Tonight, I trace whispering wallpapers,
listening to the sound of my grandfather’s perennial promises~
that linger forever, embalmed in sandalwood serenity,
while nightingales croon eclectic elegies to the mourning sky.

Show Us

I wallow and sit
My heart a pit
A seedless thing
What do you bring
Can you change
How life is strange?
Can you show
How life will go?
Will you free
Me from the hatred I see?
Will you bind
And change my mind?
These little glimpses
That good accomplishes
A broken heart
Tore me apart
Love healed me so
Till I let go
Will you show
Me how to glow
To be the best
Leave the rest
Take my hand
Help me withstand
The changing tides
Both sides
With no divide
Inside
Show us now
So we can allow
To let love in
And begin
To be the best
Let go of the rest

Inception

Through a distant awareness
all eyes unmasked
The answers vacant
and fading fast

The horizon changes
from front to back
All reasons caught
within its trap

Time despondent
its seconds tear
Whose reign dethroned
inception near

The weight uprooted
a seedless fruit
The past, tomorrow
—and present moot

Winter Is Not Forever

Scrape, bye ; The Calendar
ticks with no inky point,
segments broken into
whatever minuet, or waggle
and slithers of whats left for you.
You can gaze through,
honey coombes yellow
along a long one way troop
of seedless sunflowers,
their low heads hung,
corroded and long Bee,d.
Winter in broken boxes
spilt, blind, even,
warm to strangers
Spring a season of
Infinite meaning,
Based, on nothing
but the viewpoint of a Bee.

Treat Me Like a Human

TREAT ME LIKE A HUMAN
Flowers can be pink
Flowers can be white
Light or heavy that does not change their hearts
They result in fruits which may have seeds or be seedless
Fruition is the best of it all
The fact that inner qualities matter cannot be denied

Shows that as humans
dark o fair
Tall or short
we are all humans
and need to be treated as such

Grape Dog

Grape Dog
‘Like a grape?’
There was a dog that ate grapes
The dog was happy eating them
For they tasted so sweet
Especially the black ones
So wonderfully yummy

They were small and seedless
Disappearing with a bite
And a couple of chews
Into the dog’s belly
This was real life

And the dog was a one off
Totally unique in her ways
Any other dog would die
After eating a single grape
Not half a pound of them
Normal dog food was bland

Not even tuna fish
Or chicken breast
Got a sniff or lick
It was only grapes

Now the dog dozed in the sun
Her belly full and hunger gone

She’d sleep all day
Then run and play
And eat some more
She was the grape dog

With a purple head
Red body with lilac spots
Green feet and a blue tail
A rather cool one off
Grape eating dog

Watermelon - A Tanka Poem

Sweet watermelon
You're cool and sweet and moist.
You are so smooth round
And a red fruit, furthermore
So seedless; I love ta eat

Premium MemberWelcome the One

seek above seedless sky
rains down in loamy
soil there to lie

rise up eyes up
homage to the sun
life anew morning dew
to buds that grew
the spring has sprung

now then once again
old friend comes then
welcome to the one

Premium MemberCornucopia Charm

Her goodies stuffed inside, petrified fine.
String of pearls, perfectly round, peachy keen.
Courting spicy cerise bottle of wine.
Silver flute melody apt to be seen.
An hourglass figure — chalice of a queen.
Rotund seedless grapes impress her red lips.
Gossamer stockings, two to hug her hips.
The goat horn, receptive to one lover.
Cleopatra’s adorned with beauty tips —
Her charm, Marc Antony will discover.
