Secret Plan Poems | Examples

Empty Secrets

I have a secret plan.

So secret that not even I know my own exciting discovery.

They are all trying to get in my head.

To decipher the code and steal my ideas.

They are trying to ask me how I’m feeling.

Don’t they see that I’m feeling inspired?

Which is a good thing.

Because before, I was feeling hopeless.

Now I’ve been gifted with a chance to change the world.

Soon, I’ll have the answer.

If everyone could just leave me alone.

Have You Seen the Cotton Man

He don't live down your way.
He dwells in another day
he will never let you into.

His face is white
but not bright - yellow age
has mildewed his smile.

The house on the hill
is not his,
but he won't let you visit.
Jailhouse rock
will keep you dancing
behind be-wilderness bars.

He forgets to like you,
he thinks you're cotton
to be picked.

Children run from his knees',

kids know that the cotton man
has a secret plan
and it don't include us.

Premium Member Mission Impossible - the Prequel

I bet they laughed, I bet they howled
I bet Winston Churchill growled
Where’d you get this loony from
He’s talking ’bout a bouncing bomb

All the drawings all the plans
All the notes and telegrams
Tell what happens when one slams
Barrels into concrete dams

Laden heavy for the flight
Nineteen bombers in the night
A secret plan too mad to warrant?

First a trickle then a torrent

Premium Member An Improbable Season

He might as well be Xerxes
The most dominant in history
Towering twelve feet taller than his foes

The Spartans take position
But one of them is missing
Where Leonidas is it seems nobody knows

Though an improbable season
Spartans are all but beaten
When Xerxes comes the battle's good as won

A secret plan is brewing
That will be Persia's undoing
A mighty blow they'll not recover from

Emerging from his hiding
Battered but still fighting
Leonidas finally steps up to the plate

They stare down each other
The boldest boys of summer
A rivalry placed in the hands of fate

Leonidas takes a beating
On this October evening
It won't be good enough to reach a draw

But our hero is relentless
He swings for the fences
Now no one can believe what they just saw
