She floated on air in the midnight hour,
Purity like heaven's angelic form
In flowing gown of white chiffon vapour.
Suddenly the air was calming and warm
Me thinks I must be still soundly sleeping
And dreaming of another time and place,
Where one might go for eternal keeping.
Softly weeping, I recognized her face
Wordlessly she uttered with tender care
The message I needed so much to hear,
That she was alive in the vast somewhere
But always, always staying very near
To comfort me in times of bitter strife
To guide me along in the paths of life.

There is a silence beyond my window;
though the wind is a low desolate moan;
with dark clouds heavy with ominous rain;
and now there is a howl like a voice forlorn.
~ My purple curtains flutter and billow;
oh, this dismal day makes me feel alone;
and I am reminded of my past pain;
for though it has been years now ... I still mourn. ~
Like the threatening rain that is in limbo;
I close my eyes and see all the names in stone;
and stand weeping- wind a violin strain;
like a love symphony that makes me yearn.
~ The wind and clouds crash and rain is falling
and beyond my window it is pouring ~

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 of the King James Bible
Shimmering with wondrous truth’s radiance
Honest trust beams against obscure deceit
Illumined to smite lurking falsity…
Nestling inside God’s gleaming assurance
Enlightened for freedom bliss’ sharing treat
Optimizing vibrant faith verity…
Now, my soul glows with blest redemption praise.
Sizzling midst ennui of boredom’s variance
Hope sparkles though attacking doubts do greet
Inspiring service with prayer beauty…
Nourished by gracious kindness-endurance
Exposing worship in fellowship sweet
Offering forgiveness from love’s bounty…
Now, my heart shines toward gratitude blaze.
Modified Hybronnet of 14 lines with rhyme scheme abc-abc-d; abc-abc-d, amidst Acrostic form.
